7.5 miles each way on the job I am on now, I have told my boss I will go up to 15 miles
Just change clothes
There is a secure bike rack on this job, otherwise chain it up somewhere on the jobsite
I've been commuting for 3 or 4 months, but I sold my car so this is a perminant, year 'round deal.

Bikes: 2006 Giant Cypress EX (7-speed internal hub)

A) Occupation: Computer Programmer

B) Commuting Distance: 11 mile round-trip

C) Clothing, depends on circumstances. Almost always wear work pants, unless warm rain in summer, then ride in shorts and bring pants & dry socks in backpack. For cold rain, rain gear over full work clothes. In all but summer, wear work shirt, wipe off in bathroom if needed. In summer (except rain), wear biking shirt (still wear work pants), keep a bunch of work shirts at work, shower upon arrival.

D) Where bike is parked: Had an outside rack at old office, we changed locations a few months ago and grounds are still under construction, so currently using a pole in the ground, but am told will have outside rack in next few months.

E) Number of years commuting: 3

F) Year-round/part time commuter: Year round, except snowstorms (haven't gone hard-core with studs yet)

P.S. Thanks, konageezer, for resurrecting this thread!

Also retired Navy Nuc Submariner. Looks like Navy has it over the services here. Especially if we include USMC.
