Occupation: Architect
Commute Length: one-way 5 miles straight line on the highway
10 miles by the scenic route, but I've stretched that up to 50 miles when I needed a good ride.
Clean-up: Wipe-off and change clothes, or sit in what I've got. Depends on if anyone esle is in, if I have a meeting and how sweaty I am.
Bike Parking: in the reception area, by the front door, or in the drafting area outside my office
Number of years: 9, since I started my own practice.
Year round/part time: Occasional. Usually only get to bike commute when I work on a weekend, which is most weekends. During the week I may need the car for a meeting or site visit on VERY short notice.
I have done site visits on my bike. Combine it with my weekend rides. The construction guys get a big laugh at seeing me ride up in my gear with a hardhat strapped to the back of the bike. Get funny looks from other cyclists too.

Bikes: IRO fixed and 105 roadbike
Occupation: Work with developmentally disabled kids and adults.
Commuting distance: 16 miles RT (but sometimes 38 RT at another home)
When at work: winter-ride in Foxwear cold weather gear. Change into jeans/t shirt/socks that is in my Chrome bag on my back. Rest of the year- regular shorts/t shirt but sometimes cycling shorts or lightweight tights for the longer ride. No shower but could if needed. Non cycling shoes, 2nd pair, kept in closet at work.
Where bike is parked: hallway in winter, outside front door rest of the year. Unlocked. I am the only commuter, summer or winter.
Number of years: Not enough! 6th grade until first year in college. Now re-started in August of 05. (I am ashamed I didn't think of bike commuting eariler. Wasted many years sitting in that GD car that will never come back.)
I ride year round. Fixed gear bike, fenders, and studded tires in the winter. Road bike rest of the year.
[On a side note, I have to say thanks to the bike commuters from Canada. I couldn't decide if I wanted to ride in the cold and snow here in Minnesota. After lurking on BF and another site, I thought "If they can do it so can I!" Riding in the winter is a piece of cake, I don't know what I was so worried about. I am warmer, even hot and sweaty sometimes, on the bike than I am driving. To those on the bike in Canada: Thank You]
