Were you tempted to ride past that corner a few more times?

Had a great commute today. About 10C and cloudy, but no rain at all and no wind worth mentioning. My gears are still not entirely well, but it isn't that bad actually. I am starting to realize how nice the bike infrastructure really is here in Sweden, compared to what I've heard about the US. I'm blessed to be able to ride my entire 4.5 mile commute on bike paths and in bike lanes. The commute home was even faster than in the morning and it felt totally great!

60F and overcast with winds from the E @ 11mph giving me headwinds on the commute home. This morning i had a lot of energy but for some reason it was the complete opposite this afternoon. I was searching for any energy that i had left to make the climb up the road to my house. I was also working up a huge sweat because there was supposed to be rain, so i was wearing my rain gear. Unfortunately no rain ever showed up though. I was kinda hoping it would to cool me down. Besides that, i'm glad i have the tires i do because there was A LOT of broken glass on the roads heading home. Also met my first salmon today. I held my line and he moved for me because i wasn't really planning to for him.

A nice day's commute. About 47 this morning and about 54 tonight. I left the house about 5:00 AM and it was windy but didn't rain at all. Drove a customer to a hospital halfway across the state, got in to the Dr. within 15 minutes, and got back home and finished by 4:00 PM. No overtime, a real good day. I am ambivalent about overtime. Rode home and wasn't rained on either time. I'm looking forward to not wearing a jacket on my AM commute. It may be along time as the volcanic ash in the upper atmosphere may keep it a cool summer and perhaps rainy as well. Ride safely and God Bless. W N

The ride home today was brutal. Felt like at least a 20 mph headwind, and it is mostly uphill coming home.

Ok, I have a question...I am going to have a back moler removed on Monday, I have never had that. I am debating on still riding on Tuesday. Would any of you still ride? I only have to go 1.58 miles. I am fairly new to riding as a main form of transportation, and want to not let anything discourage me.

Ride in was really quite nice, almost too warm, 59F when I started and 64F when I arrived. Ride back home was pretty heavy rain for Seattle standards. Only saw one other biker total on the ride out, usually see a half dozen or so.

Depends, are you going to be on medication, will it be much of a major surgery? Answer I think will be you're probably best off not doing anything strenuous. I could see you getting your blood going and that causing your wound to re-open and to start bleeding.

Yesterday's commute was pretty nice. I got to wear my shorts in the morning for the first time this year and it's a great change. Even though today is going to be warm, like yesterday, I had to wear my long bibs and jacket today to work, as I have an early shift. I never noticed it gets light this early already. 6:00AM and I turned off the bike lights. I can still remember those winter days...
Anyway, it's spring and she sure lets us know she's here

It was a slightly breezy morning at 10 C ( 50 F). The rains seems to have ended, and I can't complain, as I got in and out in-between storms yesterday, and I love when that happens. The only thunder storm was Sunday night, so I didn't have to deal with that either. It looks like pretty
good and warm weather for the near future.

"Molar." And ask your dentist! I'd say if you're not hopped up on drugs, go for it, but I'm not an expert.

I hiked 2.5 miles to the bus. Going out for food/beer after work. Getting ride home. It's snowing a little bit here.

A guy put his bicycle on the bus rack, and boarded. He didn't have anything smaller than a $5 bill so he asked if anyone had change. I was going to give him a swipe from my 10-ride bus card as a "professional courtesy", but someone ponied up 5 ones for him instead.

Mid 40s so I was a bit chilled in shorts and a tank top, but so much fun. Every time I take a break from commuting I come back to it wondering why I ever stopped.

32f and strong headwind. Took quite a bit longer then usual to get in. 50's forecast for later, 20 degree swing in a day is a challenge to figure out what to wear.

We must be going opposite directions, or there's something going on with the wind. My commute to the train station is southeast, and I had a tailwind. It is going to be brutal on the way home. It is windy here, this time of year. I might take a lunch ride to get a temporary insurance card for our new car. We'll see.

2nd day back to bike commuting, the legs are burning more today than yesterday. The 3-spd Sturmey Archer shifter was acting up part of the way in; it wouldn't stay in 1st gear, which is already a little too tall for hills. It may have something to do with the fact that it is a folder and the cables are always being moved.

Nice ride home last night. Temps in the 60s, rain threatening but didn't really come until the last couple minutes of my ride. Saw a commuter I know about 3 blocks from work and rode most of the way with him. I enjoy solitude on my bike rides, but it was also fun to have someone to shoot the breeze w/ about bikes and stuff. Kinda like bikeforums.net on wheels! ;-)

This morning was cool and fresh. Actually felt a tad warmer than the thermometer suggested. Wish I'd worn short sleeves instead of long. Added an extra couple miles and a decnt hill climb to the commute this morning. Pretty soon I'll be wishing the hill I've been practicing on from time to time were a little bigger. WTF is wrong with me?!?! LOL

My commute involved the worst squeaking from my derailleur/pulleys that I've ever heard. It was so loud, it actually hurt my ears. I feel like I just cleaned the darn thing, and I made sure to dry the chain and add a couple drops of lube when I got home in the rain last night. Yarghhh. I can't wait to convert this bike to a single-speed...

37 deg F and a headwind of 12 mph this morning added on about 10 minutes to my typical 30 mile commute and made it pretty chilly Got stopped by numerous traffic lights that I can usually time pretty well because of that wind. Oh well, it still beats driving in

What a morning! I felt like I was riding into the wind nomatter what direction I turned. Ha....more of a work out I guess. The temp was cool to and from work. When it gets hotter, I am glad that I go in so early therefore getting off earlier. Have a great day and be safe!!

Just looked at the weather online. Looks like a 20-25 mph tailwind for the ride home! Woohoo!!!

My ride was good today. It was 40F in Am and 64 going home. It is funny about the rain but I usually miss it early in the morning. I did get caught once in a severe downpour. I was going home and already warmed up so it didn't matter. I feel for you guys still being snowed upon. I was quite tired of it by Spring warm up this year. We may still get a lot of cool AM runs but by June I will be able to leave the jacket in a locker at work for rain. HOW WAS YOUR RIDE TODAY? W N

the ride in was nice and the ride home was nicer. A touch of rain but I had my fancy new rain wear with me so no prob.

Wimped out on doing a 30 mile road ride after work due to the rain.

Morning was fantastic, 11th consecutive bike commute. 59F when I left, quite sunny, and nice puffy clouds were blowing in over and across the lake. Left work really late, at 9pm, fewer cars and more peaceful, and still in the mid 50s. Coming up on the bike path on I90 over Lake Washington was an amazing view of the moon reflecting off of the lake. I thought it was a reflection from a high intensity work crew light, but was happy to realize my mistake.

They are still doing construction on the bridges bike path!! They're doing something below so they've cut some of the guardrails out and are lowering down ropes and cables and hoses and they have some small engine sitting on the path and it's partially blocked off and you have to slow down because there might or might not be construction guys... or an outright plank of wood sitting in the middle of the path. (minus karma for not moving that. Particularly whole bridge is a floating (AKA pontoon) bridge so it slopes down on both sides towards the water, and the construction is camped near the bottom of one of the slopes... Then again.. it's getting that time of year where everyone rides, so blasting down the I90 bike path is getting more and more riffy and impossible with joggers and general non motor traffic. Did have to pass two joggers, they were pretty invisible for a good while, had some trouble deciding if they were going to move to the left or right. I was probably the only bike that passed them (and it's a 1.5 mile ~ 3km stretch of bridge/bike path). Actually saw on or two bikes on the road, another on the side walk, and a last at a bus stop. The one on the sidewalk was kind of interesting because I had a right hand turn up a steep hill, yielded for him traveling on the left sidewalk with a crosswalk signal, and we both knew that he had the right away and I think was remorseful that I was getting screwed having to start up a (Seattle) hill again. Riding to work is so worth it! A blast! 12 miles, and totally worth it even in the rain - which is usually pretty light and most of the time Cheers!

It was a cold ride in at 0 C (32 F). The mornings are getting lighter, and in a month I will be riding in daylight at 5:30, at least for a couple weeks anyway. Crossing over two interchanges in the morning, I often marvel at the sea of cars passing beneath me, and somtimes I find it difficult to believe that that many cars actually exist.

Raw this morning. Low 30sF. Combination of rain and very wet snow. Some slop accumulation in a few places, but nothing that needed special tires. Nice tailwind.
