They work awesome. I was out on some trails Saturday that are mostly used by cross country skiers. The trails were pretty icy and I hardly slipped. The only issues I had was on steep climbs. They took a looong time to make, but worth it to me.

Hey I like your wheel.. Its like an anti slip wheel... Where could I get those kind of wheels??

rankin116 01-29-08 09:27 PM

Homemade. Followed these directions. Took a looong time though. Good luck if you try it, wear gloves and watch your arms, those screws can be sharp!

I don't ride my bikes.

Cypress 01-29-08 11:08 PM

2.5 hours in the snow. Got chased by some XC skiers, but they aren't all that quick going uphill. Had to turn around at the 5.5 mile mark because the trail got too loose.

Cheeto 02-02-08 03:38 PM

went biking on the base today.
Found two other guys who showed me all the hidden trails. We went into all the "not allowed" areas lol, like the Military cops training areas and the warrior base areas.

Got out for my first long ride in about 3 months. I did a lot of trail clearing(we had a major ice storm 2 nights ago). But I was out for about 4 hours. Got to ride a new trail, fast and flowy(when it's dry). nothing tech but it had a fun little log ride.........

I went out for a little urban session today. I was sure most of the local single track was soggy, so street riding it was. I have a little loop around my neighborhood that I ride from time to time. It consists of several office parks, some jogging trail and a couple of play ground areas. No idea how many miles or that kinda of stuff, just good fun on the bike. I took my canon point and shoot out to get familiar with its timer/multiple frame options. The darn thing works pretty well.

I figured out how the timer works…

also multiple frames using the timer delay…

and I worked on some skinny action…

A group of us went out for a little urban ride Tuesday evening. There was about eight of us for most of the ride. The weather was awesome with the temps in the upper 60s and a little breezy. We were only harassed by the popo once. (Some one was spotted riding a manual down the sidewalk or something…) anyway the few pictures from the night.

The only riding shot of the night

Dang you guys and your nice weather, highrevs and 66! Nice shots.

Looks like 66 is suffering from a bad case of gnarthritis.

I spent 5 hours today planning maintenance and additions to the local bike park.
