All i did was sand down the entire bike by hand with 100-150 grit sand paper. Sanding the welds took a while. Then i did two coats of spray on primer. Light sanding. Then 3-4 coats of blue engine paint. No clear coat. I like the finish without it.

Its nice having the low top tube because Im using the bike as a urban assault/trials bike. Its a 14inch frame and im 6 ft tall. Having the smaller frame just makes manuvering the bike a whole lot easier.

XT components throughout
Candly SL pedals - I also use them on my road bike - great pedals!
Splurged on a Chris King headset, Thomson stem and seat post.
Sun Rhyno Lite with Panaracer Fire XC Pro's
Fox Vanilla RL fork - thinking of taking down it's travel from 125mm to 105mm for better handling.

Really like the bike. Initially tough to get used to because of the big BB height, but that helps greatly in clearing obstacles.

well here is my problem...I guess b/c I'm a big guy that little seat rests directly in that area that hurts like a mother.....so I went to the bike shop and looked at a slightly wider one, and I think that's what I'm going to get it's about as twice as wide as the one I currently have. I will see how I like it.

I've moved the saddle forward a few inches to hopefully position the saddle better underneath my bones, but we shall see in the morning. I didn't touch my bike today, I was just to sore, and still am a tad bit sore, but I'm going to bike/bus to work in the morning will give me maybe 2 miles of riding in the morning to see how well I like the way the saddle sets right now.

Heck yeah mael thats the only way to go for a jump/urban bike. Its not the lightest bike on the 4x track but I dont ever worry about it breaking. I actually checked out the transition bike or park when i was ordering parts, but i got a KILLER deal on the azonic and i couldnt pass it up. I cant wait to see pics of yours when its done.

You know what is funny-I can barely afford food, yet you throw around pedals like its nothin. I guess I am jealous that you are capable of affording a SWEET bike with some nice XTR flippy shifters and the dreamy SLR saddle that I have been drooling over.
