What gives with ragging on justsomeguy's choice of bike teleportation? It'll get him to and from the trail damn fast. This is necessary so he can get home quickly to his supermodel girlfriend. When the road gets too rough, that's what the bike's for. Someone sounds a little jealous. I know I am. Good for him, though. Is that just a plain ol' Turbo or a Turbo S?

I've got at least a few more years working for the man, but that car is on my wish list. For now, I'll just have to put up with my AWD Subie.

Nice vehicles. I like your web site too. Very cool/funny video's. My favorite parts are POV falls. Not sure why. They just crack me up. You know what's happening but seeing it from that view just adds a little comedic relief I guess.

Damn straight! I love my subie. I couldn't quite swing the extra insurance costs of the WRX, but my Outback sport is plenty quick. I've done 100+ with 4 kayaks and 3 passengers. It was sketch, but it'll do it. I abuse the hell out of it. It's got way too many dents for an '04. I just can't help traveling at high speeds on forest roads. On second thought, it's probably good that I drive what I do. I'm gonna trash it either way. It's just a tool to me. I guess I should get out to the car and snap a pic of it with my bike. Both will be dirty.

Actually, the picture isn't anything special. Most digital cameras can take pictures like that easily, people just have to learn how to use their cameras properly or they can just turn on the macro function and learn how to use that properly.

Hey, are we off topic?

Hey, are we off topic?
Although the picture isn't anything special and I've taken many macro shots with various digital cameras, you would be hard pressed to get that kind of even, practically shadowless, light distribution with the flash on most digital cameras, short of using a ring flash.

Back on topic sunshine...

p.s. I understand pefectly well what you wrote, you just continue to be off base.

You're confusing amusement with upset...

Perhaps you missed this bit: "Although the picture isn't anything special"

I was disagreeing, from a technical standpoint, with your claim that most digital cameras could take that picture. It's a function of the flash, as I noted.

NoF3ar, I think the bike now looks red because as 5Spots age they change from black to red while changing from a Horst link to a single pivot. Storing them in the dark tends to reverse this process. Maybe.

Or it could just be a picture of another bike.

Why is everyone ganging up on Justsomeguy? He's got a nice car, and a pretty nice bike, and im sure he has worked pretty hard to be in a position where he can afford to buy these things. Just leave the guy alone, and start posting pictures of your bikes.

And if i remember correctly from a previous thread, he also uses an SUV to carry his bikes. Correct me if im wrong justsomeguy.

Im sure some of you will start bashing the guy now for destroying the environment....

anyone else finding the server painfully slow?

Aw shucks...you got me!

I forgot the rule about how posting a picture of more than one bike (especially if they are different colors!!) invalidates ones ownership claim to not only the bikes, but in anything that they happen to be attached to in any of the aforementioned pictures.

Nothing gets by you Mr. Brainiac.

Here's another bike picture just to try and cover my tracks and prevent another internet super-sleath from busting me.

hey justsomeguy,

can you please start a seperate thread where you can rag on people and argue with them about your obvious financial, physical, technological, and mental superiority and leave this thread to people who want to see pictures of mountain bikes.

or better yet, post some good pics of your turner.

Thanks for your help

I think the people doing the attacking are the ones that need to grow the balls. justsomeguy is just defending himself.

Kid, since it obviously hasn't sunk in yet, I wasn't offended by what you wrote. It was so naive, preposterous and funny that I simply replied in the same fashion.

Grow some balls? Stop it already! My sides are really starting to ache now.

Perhaps we should start a "Take your best shot at jsg" thread to watch people get beat down again and again...that's entertainment.

Here's a huge lousy photo of my bike last winter when it was new:
