Never heard of the Major Jake(always wanted a Jake The Snake, tho), but that bike is sweet...in a CX way, of course.

justsomeguy, I think you need a hitch rack. It would look much better....

If there isn't there should be one. Here is hoping he is short, bald, and hung like a pimple.

Reassembled my HT this morning and took it for a spin at Hamilton Creek. Took a major step towards making it a softtail so I thought I'd repost it:

My digital camera sucks at closeups, but I think you get the idea....

No idea what happened to the bolts(for rear rack, I think) that were in there. I was too surprised to look for 'em. Never seen a cracked frame in person before. I was kind of expecting it, tho. The frame is 10 years old, after all. Thank goodness my FS is still operational....

OK, let the Crack'n'fail digs commence....

Yeah, looks like an MZ Comp to me (if you look at the arch carefully you'll see a dip in it towards the middle (to form the "M" shaped Marzocchi logo)).

The Major Jake is available as a frame only. Scandium tubing is the main (if only) difference between it and other Jake frames.

And 'YIKES!' to the broken seat stay! I guess it would be a little softer ride in the rear now.

The Turner, although a beautiful piece of design and engineering in its own right, looks like a booger hanging off the top of that car.

Please tell me you track it.

The first thing I did when I saw that pic was set it as my background! Awesome!

I disagree, but wonder why you say so.

Do you have a hitch rack on yours?

... because it's a Porsche. A sports car, not a truck.

I don't want to offend anyone, but personally, I just can't stand seeing a car like that being treated as a normal car.

Please PM me if anybody wants to argue about it, I don't want this thread to turn into a car thread
