wow, justsomeguy has none of that coming, he did exactly as the post is meant to do "POST YOUR RIG" and he gets shot down, he defends himself(what someone with balls does) against the people shooting him down( sorry, but his points are much more valid) and he gets even more shot down for giving his further opinion. Now yah know what, i'm pretty sure you guys that are so kindly showing the friendly attitude most bikers are accustomed to would rip on justsomeguy if he didn't defend himself either. There's no realizing for some people that there are gonna be people that have nice things and can afford to live a bit more lavish than the average joe, and good for them, he's achieved somethign in life that a lot of people strive for. why shoot him down? I'm only 19 and i'm pretty sure this all makes sense to me. Adults acting silly, grow up.

Anybody can get deep in debt.... All it takes is your signature.... Don't be inpressed by fast cars & fast women.... They can be had a dime/dozen.
The Porsche looked kinda funny to me, but to each their own. It's just a depreciating investment.

Here's my new bike... I plan to try it out tomorrow.
Bought it brand new off eBAY for $510 (msrp $1400).
mtbr.com has most of the specs incorrect for some reason.
Like the fork (120mm) not 100mm, the Intense System 4 tires ($40 ea.) and other items.

Unless you plan on replacing those forks sooner rather than later, remove those lizard skins...

We're both wrong.... After further investigation, it was actually $1200 msrp... I suppose it's where you look to buy from.
I thought the fender might be what looked kinda stupid myself.... I like the SkinZ
What can be said about that type of rear suspension? I've never ridden that style before.
If anyone thinks it sux, just say it. Honest opinions are truly appreciated!

pivot on the chainstay?
i think i have basically the same thing(not a suspension wiz though)on my kona kikapu and it rides pretty nice. if you are off the saddle and pushing really hard you get alot of pedal bob, but that might just be me i run my shock soft.

I agree. No sense in paying interest on a depreciating asset like that. Pay cash. In the long run you save a bundle.

This is the latest config...Motobecane frame, with mostly LX components....with the exception of the front derailleur, which is Deore. Wheelset has yet to be finalized, so I'm using a cheap set...fork is Rock Shox cheapo, but better than nothing. It's a work in progress, but I'm growing to love riding it, and riding again after a long lay-off.

Update.... 10-28-05
I rode my new bike this afternoon/evening and had a great time (of course). I don't like the huge "Intense" tires, although they're fairly lite @ only 745g each. The bike rode as good as expected for a maiden voyage, but I hope to learn her curves more so on my next ride come Monday...
The 4-Bar Broadband suspension is great! Absolutely NO bob while pedalling anytime. The front fork can use a little air adjustment, but works very well for what it is.... Overall, I'm very pleased so far w/ the $510 bike.
BTW: It weighs 32 lbs. actually, according to my bath scales anyway.... Can you sue a company for stating a false weight?

That's what a local Triathlete called it today...
Maybe it's a 4-Bar type?
I call it my rear suspension.
I dunno what it is, but it works....
