Unfortunately, the shock has to support the CTD remote or it can't be added. The forks can come with or without, and can be modified for the remote later. I have no idea why Fox designed it this way.
But I just reach down and flip the CTD lever, no problem. Flipping it back is actually harder since I don't want to overthrow the lever and select Descend. I find I don't need to lockout my fork, either. Shock is enough if you climb seated. Standing you'd need to do both.

Oh btw I like the CTD forks I've ridden. They have pretty good brake dive resistance in trail mode, and I like how climb mode isn't fully locked out. If you hit something huge you still get ~30mm of travel. I would buy one. They also make a terralogic fork still, and CTD Trail Adjust.

My most natural and fastest/most efficient method of climbing is that of a rigid single speeder. Locked out, standing, and in a tough gear.

Brake hose came in. I ordered a half liter of Motul dot 5.1 fluid which arrived today as well.
Adding about 6" made it just a tad spongy for my taste. I filled the new line and bled it 3 times, but I guess it's as good as it's going to get.

Only one little loose end...loose cable end, actually. My soldering iron won't get hot enough to weld it.

Well...I'm the proud owner of a new-in-box 2013 Rockshox Sektor RL (top Sektor model) with Motion Control 150mm 20mm TA.
Daggumit eBay!
(this will in theory give me a little more stiffness, better damping, 10mm more travel and 1.21lbs lighter)

Yes and yes. Hope pro 2. I have 9mm and 20mm cups. I really didn't want to go qr15. I'll have to see if I still have my post mount adaptor.

Cool.
Just do this: right out of the box, check your oil levels. Make sure you've got enough in the damper side, and the lowers for splash bath.
I've had a few RS forks come with too little oil, and ride like poo until figuring out the problem.
Down the road, pop for one of the newer/nicer dampers. They aren't crazy expensive, and you'll end up with basically a Rev Solo Air for way less cash. Just recently did this to my Sektor, and it's a world of improvement.

Thanks Doug. I'll stick with 7" though. I got one on the way from the same seller that pimped me the fork. I thought about dropping back down to 5"r/6"f b/c of where I live, but...wha?! Naw!
As far as dampers...it comes with:
Damping-Motion Control
External Rebound / Low Speed Compression to Lock, Spring via Air Pressure
So do I want:
Motion Control DNA RCT3
External rebound, low speed compression, 3 position compression (open/platform/lock),
That's only a hundred bucks?

First shakedown was great.

Not far from you. That's Blue Springs Lake. There's a lot of limestone outcropping around Kansas City.

You'll need either that damper, or this one:
https://www.bikeman.com/FK7350.html
First one is as noted, open/platform/lock -with the ability to set the blowoff threshold for the platform level.
Second is more what you're used to - set the compression with the main dial, have the gate set with the little one.
Depends on what you like - I prefer the latter, as I don't have a need for a full lockout, and very, very rarely ride with my compression other than full open anyhow, other than on long smooth or road stretches.
Either one will be an improvement over the stock Sektor damper. IMO, it works great at low speeds and decent sized hits, but when speeds get higher it doesn't work as well - can't keep up with the little stuff and manage the bigger things at the same time, feels sort of harsh. New damper totally got ride of that feeling.

Shakedown #2...schmooveness.
Given that the ETT on this one is 23mm shorter, I moved to a 20mm longer stem. Just happened to have a Thomson x4.
Also, the front is 10mm higher, so I moved down to my Easton ea70 Hi Rise 40mm bar. (the protaper was 50)
The result was the "Back at home" feeling I was looking for. Same cockpit as my hardtail essentially.

I rode tech that I haven't cleaned in a long time.
Stoke!

Hopefully get some proper trail pics tomorrow. It's amazing how much difference it makes though. Way more plush, lighter, steers better, accelerates better. Wow.
(lacked 15ml damper fluid and about 5 of splash in each leg stock)
29lbs 6oz with the big UST meats still.

Got out a little later than I thought. Bad for pics.

I'm pretty stoked. It's lived up to the Hype for sure. I'm still tweaking pressures and damper settings. I'm so used to a hardtail with the PIKE that I'm running my sag a little less than I probably should. I'll get over that. The Sektor is allot more fork than the PIKE.
I'm ballin.
