I'm pretty stoked. It's lived up to the Hype for sure. I'm still tweaking pressures and damper settings. I'm so used to a hardtail with the PIKE that I'm running my sag a little less than I probably should. I'll get over that. The Sektor is allot more fork than the PIKE.

I'm ballin.
Yep. The Pikes are/were nice forks, but the stiffer chassis of the newer forks makes quite a difference. Having it stiffer, and still weighing less is a nice combo.

The frist gen Pike Team coil I bought when they first came out was ridden hard by me, and is still going strong under the dude I sold it to.

The Parker was a different beast altogether. It called for a little less sag because of the drops.

What sag are you guys running for trails...ie....rolling Singletrack with drops no larger than 5'?

I was shooting for 30%, but it's wigging me out that it's so plush. Been doing 25 instead, lol.

EDIT: I settled on 25% for now. I ran 30% around my neighborhood last night and it just isn't quite enough.

So been awhile since I checked this thread. Dude you got a whole new bike! Awesome! Looks like quite a ripper you built up there.

Whoops - sorry! Meant to put that in the daily rides thread.

30 sec. timer, takes ten shots.

So...for some reason, the BF.net app won't let me see the daily ride reports thread. Probably due to the size. Screw it.

Got in a good ride today.

So I finally installed some parts from Christmas and my Birthday, LOL!

XT Cassette, PC971 chain, Blackspire 32t singlespeed THICKTHICKTHICK chainring, Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.35 meats, Buzzy's Slick Honey, and some new Stans.

The initial build was 29#6oz with the Sektor.
Changed to an EA70 bar and RAgley stem combo with a Giant rigid seatpost and Fizik saddle. 29#10oz.

After the new tires, cassette, chain, etc...28#10oz.

I'm happy. Basically lost a full pound of rotating weight over the Excavator UST tires. Also gained some volume as the Hans Dampf is a larger casing for a 2.35. (Bonus!!) I think I'm going to like the tires a lot.

The Buzzy's Slick Honey is probably going to cure my stiction woes. This stuff is amazing! I also put a dollup of grease in the air chamber to help with bottom-out control.

Stoked to get out to the trail.
