Some folks say it's good for digestion but I suspect it's neutral on your health....last time I checked it's not on the WADA list of banned substances, so you should be ok.

Bikes: everywhere

Those guys aren't following proper color-based tour vehicle naming protocol by naming their Ford the Blue Bullet.

Acceptable names include:
Blue Thunder
Red Rocker
Silver Bullet
White Lightning.

Nope, did it once. That was enough.

(Same for the tree lighting, the Thanksgiving day parade, 4th of July fireworks, etc. I think you should avail yourself of the opportunities presented by your geographical location...but you don't have to be a martyr about it)

I never did get why people think it is a great idea to stand out in subfreezing temperatures for an hour, two, or however long it is that they're out there, just to see a ball slowly drop.

big public celebrations for new year are a total waste of time. i went twice, once to the main place and then another year to the next most popular place. they both sucked and were followed by hours of trying to get home in the freezing cold with annoying people all around.

nothing in Trafalgar Square. biggest lame experience. In parliament Square (where you saw the student riots) there's the bongs of Big Ben but people were so loud I couldn't hear so i just cheered when everyone else did. So lame.

The only NYE I have any real memory of, was when I was living in Germany, for Y2K. We went to Cologne to visit friends where we had a fondue party, then took a train to one of the bridges over the Rhine where we watched the whole sky over city light up with fireworks. It totally overwhelmed the fireworks the city had paid for. People were lighting stuff off everywhere. It was incredible. Then we hopped on a train to go to some sort of industrial park where someone had hired a dj for a party and danced for hours.

I'm generally not into going out for that sort of thing, I hate crowds, but that was totally worth it.

public events like tree lighting, balls dropping, and whatnot are wastes of time, However I do enjoy fireworks every year. One of the features of living near a big city is the fireworks budget. Philly does a nice job for New years and July 4th (or the date they decide to fire them off)

Bikes: everywhere

I got my Stonehenge trip mapped. There's a Cat 3 climb in it!
https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/26390448

I also planned the hardcore 123 mile option with a Cat 3 AND a Cat 2 climb. The cat 2 climb is an awesome one lane desert road that follows a creek. Plenty of curves with no guardrails to ruin the view.

I can tell from the elevation plot that you don't have one of the climbing blocks under your front wheel. Maybe you should share this file with whoever was asking about it earlier.
