I think I posted it earlier, but I'm a big fan of Maui Jims and Oakleys.
I was on a trip to LA about 15 years ago and realized I had forgotten my sunglasses because I left home so early in the morning. I knew I had to get some because my eyes are very light-senstive, so I stopped at Sunglass Hut at LAX and for grins, tried on a pair of Maui Jim Kahunas. They felt like they were made especially for me. Since then MJs are the only sunglasses I bought for myself. The MJs I own (about 12 pairs) however are not suitable for cycling because of the glass lens.
I had bought a pair of Oakley Flak Jackets for my son back in the summer of '09, so when I started cycling again last winter, I borrowed his. I realized while riding that I didn't even realize I was wearing them because they felt so good. Unfortunately, I can't just buy one pair...I now have about 8 pairs (different color frames, different lens, different color ear socks, etc.) of the Flak Jackets. I'd probably like the Radars or Jawbones but I've been so pleased with the Flak Jackets (XLJs) that I'm sticking with them. An added advantage of the Flak Jackets is that they look normal enough to wear when I not riding (unlike the Jawbones).
I still have every pair of MJs I've ever bought...I rarely lose sunglasses.

do you check your inner cables for wear or do you just routinely replace them periodically. I haven't changes mine for a couple of years but in the last year i had split the mileage between 2 bikes.

I don't even wear them on the boat, but for $8 I'd be tempted to get a pair.

Hey LowCel,
How long did it take for your wheels to be finished (from payment to delivery)?

OK this is REALLY annoying....my new 3T stem has a stack height that is about 5mm shorter than the current Ritchey one....which means when I swap out the stems I will need a 5mm spacer, which I don't have. It's probably a 50 cent part, I suppose I will have to go to the LBS and see if they have any loose ones floating around....

Hmmm....I don't understand eBay fully....I was bidding on a 95g Merek carbon saddle, and I was the leading bidder until 1s left when I got outbid. I suspect the winning bidder must have had a computer program that did it.
Sigh.

Why does Rick Reilly from ESPN (and formerly of Sports Illustrated) have a job?

11,183 kJ in the last two weeks.
I have no idea what this means, but they use those units in the 33.

Any time I'm on ebay I limit my search to "buy it now" for that very reason.

Did you try to buy that Colango frame? A little duct tape'll take care of that.

When bidding near the end, you put in the bid/price that you are willing to pay for the item. If someone is willing to pay more, there isn't much you can do about it.
