I did it because I had $200 in gift cards and the frame was on sale. It will be about an extra $2200 after that by the time I'm finished. Though I'll recoup 1k or so from the sale of the other bike.

i can't wait to try out the bento box. i don't know why people describe it as that on BF. I've not seen it like that on the websites selling them.

Tonight's exciting trainer ride was 2x20 minutes tempo (215-257w) with a five minute recovery.
1st 20: 252 watts
2nd 20: 254 watts.
Here is the Garmin data. https://connect.garmin.com/activity/63170645

I think we've had the "bag" discussion a couple of times, so here is my already posted info. A lot of the riding I do is solo, so I want to make sure I'm pretty self-sufficient. This same bag is on each of my bikes and is packed the same (with different size tubes as needed).
I'll also admit to using a handlebar bag to carry my clif bars, inhaler, glucose monitor, glucose tabs, camera, phone, etc. I hate having anything in my jersey pockets unless I absolutely have to.
I realize this almost certainly puts me in the Fred category...I'm okay with that.
In another of these threads I related the following cycling anecdote:
One of my favorite cycling stories had to do with a coworker who was riding with someone (not a coworker) fairly new to cycling who had nothing but his cell phone with him. This in spite of repeatedly being told that he should carry basic repair items such as a pump/inflator, patch kit, etc. When the other guy flatted (inevitably), he expected my coworker to help him using my coworker's supplies. My coworker's response? "In case of an emergency or problem, you made the decision to only bring your cell phone, right? Well, you've got a problem, and since the only tool you have with you is your cell phone, I guess you'll have to use it. I'll see you later."

Cadence is pretty important for some intervals.

LowCel, you plan on racing this year or are you just getting super serious about your fitness?

My plan is to return to racing in 2012. If I was a cat 4 or 5 I would try to do a couple of races this season but there is no reason entering a cat 3 until I am in really good shape.

if you can figure out what a good hard 20' interval feels like, then just check the file for speed, and simply reproduce those conditions next time, or increase/decrease speed as necessary.

Just a heads up to everyone, since there have been way too many "Roadies and xxx" threads we have to put an end to them. We are going to leave the ones that are already here but new ones will be moved to foo.

All I know was that Tom did a little clean up, not real sure what aisle the spill was in but it's cleaned up now.
