Some of you may remember my issues with my boss I've been having at work. We'll I've decided today is the day. I'm going to tell him it is time for me to move on, and give him a two weeks notice, which I'll extend until the end of the month if he wishes. It's just time for me to make some changes in my life.

Good luck and the best to you! One just can't work in an environment like that.

But remember this: it's better to get a job when you HAVE a job...in other words find another job first THEN leave. If possible. Also if possible take the high road and leave gracefully on good terms, you never know if you may need a letter of recommendation or a reference down the road.

I'm going to buy some extra tires, and chains before I become unemployed, just in case it becomes an extended unemployment period.
Good luck, soloist. It takes mad bones to quit a job these days.

BUT, are you being realistic?
What's your 'Plan B' for income?
How're you going to eat and keep a roof over your head, little things like that?
How will you support your constant procurement of schwag and cronic weight-weenie-itis?

I feel recovered from the potential concussion. The swollen ankle the sore throat are the issues now
I might take a day off from boarding, however I hate it cause that's $60 down the drain.

Good luck SA. I am somewhat passively looking for jobs and it doesn't seem too terrible out there.

That sucks, but $60 is a small price to pay to avoid further injury that might keep you off the bike.

Always a good idea to leave on good terms when possible, hopefully they'll appreciate your being accommodating.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Mr. TS walked out of his job yesterday. Monday night he signed an offer for a new job, and while he was going to give his old employer a week of notice (he decided on a week, because there was a chance they'd just tell him to leave - nobody gives notice there) when he got in yesterday, ten minutes into his shift his supervisor started yelling at him for a mistake someone else made. So, he walked over to his toolbox, locked it, said "I'll be back for that on Friday" and walked out.
That bridge was pretty well burnt back in September when he thought they were going to fire him, so there really wasn't much he could do to salvage anything. The company has a bad enough reputation in the area for the industry they're in, so when someone leaves them on bad terms, it's sort of understood why. I think he'd rather be a ditch digger than to ever have to go back there for work. Good riddance.
