Once Rob's post-op and settled I'll try to stop in and make fun of him for breaking his face (or possibly buy him some roadie porn to keep him occupied between doses of morphine). Please post any info on where to track him down. (floor/room). Actually, I just realized I don't know Rob's last name. Can someone pm me his last name ... I'll just assume he doesn't want that info on the main thread.

Once stabilized, as Mike has pointed out ,the mocking may begin. I spoke with Mark (Nerdsgirth)... there is photo evidence, so with the net being what it is, while all good hearted in nature .. he will never live this down. |

I'm sorta kinda in that hood after work (oss/bloor) Is it too soon to visit if he's awaiting surgery? If not today then tomorrow before the race. Wes can you PM me Rob's last name as well please?

I just read the news! Say it ain't so! I want to look Rob up, although if he's in surgery this afternoon I guess it might be impossible to see him right now. I am down for going later today and tomorrow if anyone else wants to as well let me know. I'd be up for going with you tomorrow Andrew...

Robin Chan
St. Joseph's Hospital Emerg "room 17" I just saw him. He is doing well and is getting his memory back. He remembers being at the second riding site and is able to joke about it. Thankfully his mother visited this morning. He is happy to see anyone who wants to drop by. The cracked helmet was borrowed from a friend at work, so we might want to start a helmet fund to get him a new one. I called his work to slow down the rumour train. Well I need to change at 5 then hit the garage..it'll take me a few minutes to get to Queen/Spadina. Come to think of it I'm stayin' low because Queen/Bathurst is a no-pass zone. Richmond rip... me thinks

I don't know Rob that well, but he sounds like he has a good sense of humour, which is key. I look at that picture and just think "that would be a sweet lavalife photo".

Is that his "I like it rough?" pic? Glad to see there doesn't appear to be alot of road damage. Hopefully not much nerve damage afterwards. I did a number on some of the nerves in my face when I forcefully introduced an extroverted handrail to my shy, introverted cheek bone. I can still feel it when I get a sinus cold. |
