Maybe Gnocchiocchia would be better? |

It's a 60cm frame. I want to make this thing fair... so skill testing question comes to mind. What theading does an Italian BB use?. What is the width of an Italian BB? What's your favorite Italian dish? First one to come up with the correct/most amusing answers can have the frame. http://closednode.net//images/bicycl...a/IMGP3236.JPG http://i21.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/82/5b/8b7a_1_b.JPG 2) Well most bb I've stayed at are normal sized homes, but some places in Italy are smaller, so I'll go with about 1600 square feet. 3) There isn't enough time on earth to discuss that with a classically trained Itailian chef. But Spag and Meatballs is right up there. Or else Piccata di Vitello al Prezzemolo. Sexy goodness. |

I saw you, Pyze-guy at a Timmy's? on Danforth and Logan last night as I was cabbing to the vet with my dog. You lose 2 coffee snob points. I can't imagine being able to lock yourself into a locker vis-a-vis 10 buck for a roof. Locking someone in.....sadly it's only a matter of time I think. I don't think I'd mind going wicked fast, as long as I was able...they're only other bikers and a track...compared to whipping around cars it's practically fluffy. The "tagging and releasing" of the team mate does give me pause. That isn't a skill I can say there is a comparable street version. Damned fast though.....wooohooo.
|
... and the whole, "slingshot your teammate forward" bit ... not too sure how I feel about that at top speed.
|
Keith, en route w/ your Power Grips. If you're not there by the time I get there, I'll leave them with a local bobo for safe keeping.
|
ah a little slinging practice and we'll be doing it to thread the lanes on Yogne street.
Saying a quiet thank-you to my gears that have served my well over the years. I know many question the wiseness of filth, but here's the equation. Bought the bike for 600bux 6 years ago..7? I have bought a couple tyres, never more than 15$, and some brake pads, I haven't paid for anything else, cept new shoes..but that was a 12year old cleat requiring changing. My wheels have the conical rubber housing on them as opposed to flat ... these things are awesome... as I'm having the hubs broken open for the first time. I know it's waaaay late, and I would have done it had I had the tools, but I don't. The wheels, while slightly woobily in the hub (this being the main reason for breaking them open), still roll well. I have finally ridden the drivetrain into the ground, worn the shifters down to nubs, and stretched the cables beyond functional tolerances. While i'm not messing anymore, I'm amazed it has lasted this long without colossal failure before this with daily use. To my bike.....thank-you very much and may we enjoy our new future as a single speed. |

You can't smoke in Timmies though!

HI EVERYBODY! HUGZ ALL AROUND! I <3 BIKES!
Nothing like breaking my silence with a totally useless post driven by procrastination and frustration at MATLAB. |
You live like half a block away from me!
You probably already know our noisy next door neighbours: http://www.boldts.net/photos/UkrainianChurch.jpeg They have parties at annoying hours every week and their guests park their cars in front of our driveway, on our driveway, on our lawn etc. Terrible music too. Like, really really bad. |

I am 100% sure I have seen people smoking in the coffee time aquarium at bloor and carling... Coffee times are so sketchy I doubt they pay much attention to 'rules' and such.

Lymbzero: If MATLAB was a person, I would walk up to him and kick him in the balls.
Shiznaz: where do you live? North of Bloor? I remember you continuing on that time we met. I haven't noticed the noisy neighbours, maybe the sketch Coffee Time across from me is absorbing their party animal vibes. Jet Sanchez: The Gardin has sadly been cannibalized for other purposes, but I am working on rebuilding it as an SS. I was going to get rid of it, but the frame is just too awesome for me to let go. That and it's the only bike I've got with full fenders. Wish it was up and running right now! Everybody else: Hi everybody! |
Yeah, full fenders really make a difference, don't they? I have been riding a Miele SS that I built for a friend and it has eyelets for fenders and I am bone-dry no matter how messy and gnarly it gets out there. I will miss this little bike when it's owner finally comes for it.

You have probably heard our noisy neighbours at around 8am, 10am and 11am every sunday, and more recently you would have heard them at all hours of the night for the whole week. The Urkainian Orthodox Catholic Church of The Holy Protection. They seriously need a new electronically controlled bell ringing playlist. We live in what used to be the chuch rectory for 40 years, so there are bleached on crucifix marks on the cabinets and we get crazy church mail from all over. Ocasionally some old ladies are convinced that we are still the rectory and it takes ages to get them to go away. We even get people coming to us for charity from the church. |
Time to answer the door...in PVC lederhosen, with a handheld videocam and the sounds ...somethin' in the background. Last time you will ever be disturbed I assure you. You will never ever see old ladies move faster.
|
Wait... is that the church that looks like Disneyland?
|
It sure is!
|
Yours truly is goign to Amgen tour, all expenses paid! Tovi I need to talk to you about that. Check your hotmail.

Wish my Fetish had a decent set of fenders on it. The rear one does ok, but the front still sprays a little. My coat used to be oh so clean.
My Freitag bag ends up picking up the slack, spray wise. |
Oh man... I freaking hate summarizing contracts and regulational acts. I feel like my head is about to explode. The tip just fell off my hi-liter. I got given a 50 page act to summarize at 4:30PM 'For tomorrow morning'. THANKS!
What are they sending you to a bike race for op? Competing? |

I just put fenders in my IRO after riding the Stumpy into work on Monday. I prefer the fix in the muck. More control and way fun. I heard rumblings earlier of people perhaps making the trek south for Monstertrack. Is anyone still doing that? And finally, what’s everyone’s preferred method of keeping your feet warm and dry? I’ve been using LG Feet Warmers (http://www.louisgarneau.com/eng/cata...yle_no=1083010) this season and they’ve been great until just recently when the underside of the “reinforced” toe cap has totally disintegrated which makes them roll off your toes after just a short walk. And now they’re rolling off while riding. Fin. |
So which one of youse guys is the guy I saw in front of my place this morning @ ~8:30. Yellow fixed. Queen and Sorauren. (you were heading south on Sorauren and then went East on Queen)
|
ooooh so excited .... practically a new bike tomorrow....yea haw
