All this Inspector Gadget and Turbo Express talk gives me a strange urge to wake up at 5:30am saturday morning, eat three bowls of honey nut cheerios and watch cartoons :) *sigh* those were the days...

If you break it, theres like no way you're going to fix it.
Stuff like old BBs and Cottered cranks make me cringe.

The vintage aesthetic is the only thing I can think of that would make you want to ride one.

It's like running a 486 when you could run at least PII-300.
The hardware just isn't practical.

That is all.

the chainring was the main thing for me, and the fact that it was originally born in Toronto. I also didn't take pictures of the Hero saddle from India and the built in chain tensioners on the horizontal track ends. As far as performance I'd probaby use it to to cruise through Kensington on a warm summers day, that's about it.

it's like listening to a record when you could listen to at least an MP3.

i'm telling you, look around at some garage sales in the spring. there was a guy with a small art-boutique-antiques shop on sorauren that was selling of some of those types of bikes a while back (as well as some dutch cruisers). i'm kicking myself for not getting one.

Oh cool! An 'industry' job. I'd love to work in film but I don't have any experience so might not be in the cards. What kind of stuff do you do on set? By the way I think that old bike is really cool. I defintely like old/antique things in general. I like old bikes, old guitars etc. Old stuff has character. The bike is just down the street from where I live. I'll take a look next time I go by.

75 screws per tire is a good number for ice racing:)

Yes but records actually have full analog sound.
MP3's are degraded ... it's all about OGG.
Get with it :)

How about a screw per knobbie? The Ice racers I know are runnin' at least 300 per tyre, One set I saw last week had 300 front 600 rear.

On the topic of novelty porn, I once watched a double header of Edward Penis Hands and Gidget the Midget.

Highlights:
- chick dancing in a literal semen shower, compliments of Edward
- Gidget physically crawling out of an empty TV as she "materializes from the fantasy world"

Anyone know a decent place to get passport photos taken downtown or on Queen East?

My last passport photos I had done I got at a little place in the mall at 137 Yonge. It was one of the best photos I have ever had taken....a real glamour shot. He does a really good job. The bonus is that the passport office is right upstairs. My advice...get the photos done one day...go the next day super early...like 7 a.m...otherwise you will wait in line for the whole day.

Hheheh, that guy is great. He has been there for years and years and years. I had my photo taken by him was I was 6 and then again when I was 31. He loves his job, that is for sure.
