Capishe?

Yeah, what he said.

My original cancer was considered aggressive and I was only 52.

Sadly, I've been around long enough to remember a lot of Hot r Not bikes.

I've been around long enough to have made the mistake of posting a pretty crappy USPS-colored aluminum Trek in that thread back in the day. Was not well received.

You should apply. I can accept and organize your campaign contributions and if necessary, facilitate a secret meeting in the Seychelles.

I would take sbxx up on that, rjones.

My dad doesn't seem like an emoticon kind of guy. I was shocked (!).

WhyFi 04-20-17 12:47 PM

Damn. Anyone know how to set up an RSS feed to trawl a message board For Sale forum? I missed a great deal on watch that I really want yesterday.

^^^ Those them 3D printed Ti jobbers?

Dan333SP 04-20-17 12:54 PM

Oh! Great news! Got a hammock strung up in the back yard yesterday.

Post-ride beer lounging upgrade. Too bad it's going to be cold and rainy all weekend :(

I used to all mean in that thread. Now I generally keep quiet when it's bad.

There is that guy that thinks his Focus is under 12lbs. Having spent a few years in that world, I say no chance.

Yeppers! 1500 Euros for the pulleys and one derailleur plate, IIRC.

Yup, he's dreaming.

LAJ 04-20-17 12:56 PM

Holy.... Those look spendy.

I won't say cog anymore. Either way, I have a pair sitting out, so I get to go to the bike shop now.

I think 11 pound bikes are reserved for people from Bulgaria that build their own frames.

The CeramicSpeed stuff is hot, but spendy.

Convince yourself that you're worth it.

Mr. H is coveting this for my TT bike. He even went into the shop and priced it all out. Thinks it will buy me a few seconds.

Haha he now does this spontaneously, thinks this stuff up on his own. While I am the one saying, "Wut? That expensive..."

Apparently last time we saw coach, the two of them had this big extensive conversation about how to make the TT bike better. I am so not interested in the mechanical aspect of bikes that I guess I wasn't paying any attention. I don't remember talking about most of it. But he made a list and has been ticking things off on it, item by item.

Speaking of overpriced crap, ever since I trolled WhyFi about that giant green 500mm lens, I'm seeing ads for Adorama on this site trying to get me to buy $26,000 lenses.

When a camera lens is double the price of my car, I'm probably not in the market.

I love Mr. H. You should take him up on it.

LAJ 04-20-17 01:09 PM

It's jewelry, and I would hesitate to put that on a crit bike.

sbxx1985 04-20-17 01:11 PM

I remember spending endless hours analyzing ways to shave weight, but keep the bike a daily rider (and one I could still use if I got fat).
