But it has recurred in her spine/ribs....she is getting fairly non-toxic treatment and the good news is that we believe it's working. She is only 56 and wants to stick around for awhile.

Good news for her. :thumb:

I'm really getting sick of cancer. I had a prostatectomy in 2003, 41 radiation treatments and anti-hormone treatment in 2009, and now have been informed that my PSA is doubling every 6 months and have anti-hormone therapy to look forward to in the next 3-4 years.

I'll be 66 soon and the treatments are generally good for 10 years so I could be 80 at that point when the cancer starts growing again. I can deal with that mentally but I'm not looking forward to the hormone therapy. It was terrible last time.

Yeah. He was the sock of a previously banned user who used to dominate the Clyde forum.

High All!

For the first 18 years of living in Boulder, today was a mess. It has only recently improved.

Stopping the stuff at Farrand Field was key. For a couple years they tried a big police presence and they tried turning on the sprinklers and the fish smelling fertilizer. One year they had a couple photographers taking photos of people smoking and CU PD put the photos on their website with a $50 reward. Driving in town was terrible.

Those hormone treatments will give you new-found sympathy for what the women go through with the "change of life." You will live but it's a nuisance.

I was on a 45 minute flash interval last time. That's a hot flash every 45 minutes, not a 45 minute long flash. :D

:thumb: Never been that far west in the state. After Yellowstone/Teton I headed SE through Du Bois, Lander, Rawlings Saratoga and into CO to Walden. Right at the WY/CO border the shoulder disappeared. You can actually see it on Google Maps Street View where WY 230 becomes CO 125. Right after the "Welcome to Colorado" sign the shoulder vanishes. WY roads are often good with shoulders. CO, not so much.

I guess I don't fully understand the PSA. I thought it was a function of prostate nlargement.

That makes sense. I always wonder what the slip up is when someone gets the boot and then tries to come back under a different alias. Maybe posting photos of their bike?

Pretty sure they can just check IPs.

Do you use a VPN for your puppet(s)?

Lol I don't think making a fool of yourself on BF gets you banned though. Its pretty common actually. :)

It looks like he was a sock puppet, I guess maybe somehow his thread led to that discovery.

I do. For that and for Eurosport. Also to keep Tronald off my back.

I hate shoulderless roads! I'm considering riding Wyo 430 down to the CO border, though. It should be low enough traffic volume and no blind corners that it won't bother me much.

My last time Cycling to the Colorado border I didn't actually ride in CO, just hiked into it after biking right up to it.

He actually started a thread in the So. Cal forum and intentionally outed himself to one of the mods who frequents the Clyde forum. He included photos or himself and his wife who he used to mention constantly under his previous profile. And that's all I've got to say about that.

It's a protein that is made by prostate tissue. If it's elevated it raises concerns about prostate cancer.

If someone has prostate cancer and it's been treated, the PSA is monitored to measure or monitor recurrence.

Capishe?

That and writing style. There are a couple and what gives it away for me is the bike.

sbxx1985 04-20-17 12:25 PM

Sadly, I've been around long enough to remember a lot of Hot r Not bikes.

You should apply. I can accept and organize your campaign contributions and if necessary, facilitate a secret meeting in the Seychelles.

It's prostate-specific antigens. Theoretically, my PSA should be 0 with no prostate. When my cancer came back in 2009, it was 1.1 which is considered low but not for a person without a prostate. My PSA has gone from 0.02 to 0.08 to 0.11 to 0.22 over the last two years. My urologist said we probably won't wait till 1.0 this time before starting treatments. I have an appointment with both my urologist and oncologist in May and will get more info and maybe a better timeline.
