Almost time for food and drinks at a nice Mexican joint courtesy of some law firm in Ohio that we once gave a bit of business to.

I'm kinda tempted by this ready-made compound including 3 houses and a garage/workshop for $159K. Could be a nice retirement compound.

Compound. I like it.

That's what I called my three bays when I was flatrating it in the real world.

Ew. I like the Broncos, I hope they pass on him.

I am a great fan of family compounds even in the city. I fritter away time occasionally designing a square block compound for the Penmanparker family. Four residences on the four corners built into the perimeter fence with family bedrooms and limited kitchen and entertaining space. Plus a "big" house in the center for guest bedrooms, whole family kitchen and dining, entertaining space, game room, etc. And a pool. Of course, a pool. I could see having communal pets moving around the property from house to house. Nice idea, but it ain't ever gonna happen.

Elway would never do it. Fan base would freak out.

Who would be in charge of picking up after said communal beasties?

Funny. We were talking about that Sunday morning when I jokingly asked her if they sell Lucky Charms in Ireland. (They do not.) Corned beef and cabbage is an Irish American thing. They eat "bacon," which is what they call ham. And no one back home eats Irish potatoes. And if you say "Top O' the Mornin' To You" people will think you are an ass. I got a good belly laugh out of that one. I also explained to her that the guy who was the original voice of Lucky the Leprechaun was from Staten Island, NY and was not of Irish descent. He passed away within the last year or so.

What is an "Irish" potato? There was a most popular variety that was implicated in the famine and has since been know as Irish potatoes in other parts of the world. I would be surprised if they didn't have them. I would also be surprised if they called them, "Irish potatoes". We eat all kinds of potatoes. So do they...every single day. Trust me. I know:

"Sir, what type of potatoes would you like with your spaghetti and meatballs?" I swear!

Does this include the land? Are there lots of good Indian and vegetarian restaurants/groceries nearby? If the answer to both is yes, I may have to investigate. Is the area LGBTQ friendly?? The cheapskate in me likes the price.

The Bears have low standards. Thus, I have low standards. There is a substantial likelihood they'll screw up this first round pick. They've prepared us for this, so we have low standards.

It's actually a candy developed in Philadelphia with no connection to Ireland:

Funny. It was a sad trip to Chicago when the Adidas store in Water Tower took his mural down. He was still on the team.

Oh. We called plain white potatoes, Irish potatoes when I was a kid.

I think my dream job is photoshopping absurd photos for The Onion.

Fun Fact- They hired a Joe Biden body double to pose for photos and then have his face photoshopped to Diamond Joe during the 8 years they made him a frequent target of satire.

Pretty effective-

Yes, land included. Pretty small lot though.
I've not seen any Indian food. There is a Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese joint that delivers. Nearest grocery store is about 1.5 miles. Carniceria about one mile.

I worked with a gay guy and he seemed to get by just fine. He liked country music, though :)

I have always eaten well in both in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Many creative young chefs.

Eating Report

For lunch I went to the Indian buffet.

Here's the first plate.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Zu...979xlXdoQ=w800

I think there was some carbon fiber in the food because by the end it felt like my abdomen was about to asplode.

Or perhaps three plates was too many.

I was really struggling to finish the third one but I HTFU and crammed it all down.

If that doesn't get me a kudos here, nothing will.
