I'm excited for your bike. Don't screw up the build.

It could literally be the HOTTEST BIKE ON BF*. But he'll screw it up. PepeM always does.

*until I get a Time RXRS.

I got my 1978 Campy NR jockey wheel dust cover for free today. :thumb:

Probably.. We go through Somerville and Bridgewater then up Mine Rd. and Crim Rd. to Washington Valley Rd. Long Rd. then Mountain and down Somerville Rd. to Church St. in Liberty Corner. After Gillette, we make a left from Hillcrest onto Mountain Ave.

WhyFi I just thought of a new way to quantify self-worth vis a vis bikeforums. Why look at PPD or PPM when we can look at posts per quote?

Every 1.98 of my posts gets quoted by someone. That means something, right? Quote my post if you agree.

A black RXRS might be the hottest on BF. I think there was one in XL, which might be your size. Pepe's Allez cannot be the hottest on BF. For one, it's not hotter than my BMC.

Yup, lived about a mile north of Washington Valley Road. It's a nice area, although it's becoming a bit too much under the influence of NYC for my taste.

Sure, but that's something, isn't it? You people care about me enough to let me know when I'm stupid.

I like veined cheeses but can't eat Roquefort. I have a genetic based revulsion to sheep and goats' milk products including Roquefort. In a restaurant I ask for a substitution to a cows' milk blue cheese if available. Most steak houses are able to comply.

I like your BMC but I see too many of them day to day to find them HOT.

Local elite team rides on Teammachines, and a couple of them have Timemachines too. Spend a lot of time sucking their wheels.

Sorry but NOT.

Besides, I'm trying to get my Gianni Motta built up but I hit a snag and had to drive to my LBS and scour the old parts bin for a Campy NR jockey wheel bearing. I dropped the dust cover on my shop floor and it must have warped itself back to 1978 because I can't find it.

You have to be able to think like a fugitive dust cover. Ask Pepe where it is.

It's such a pain in the ass to build and maintain. I don't think it's profitable, even in lovely Boulder County, CO. Without major backing, I bet they all eventually head towards "substandard condition" status.

@ Dan - wut

(See how I didn't even @ you properly? Take that, stat man.)

Dan333SP 05-02-17 01:49 PM

We actually have a small auto racing track nearby (maybe 1/4 mile, paved oval) that is a stand-in for a velodrome since it's basically abandoned. They used to have a Thursday night series for track bikes and even geared bikes, but only a handful of people showed up and it eventually got canceled.

Track is a niche discipline within a niche sport.

sbxx1985 05-02-17 01:49 PM

What about the Paketa? That has to get a hot. JP made it in front of me.
