Oh boy. Some genius at my current company (~12,000 employees) accidentally included an email address on a message that sends to all employees. Now we're getting hundreds of people who are hitting "reply all" and sending "I think this was sent to me in error, please advise" without noticing that it's going to the whole company.

Not a lot of logic going on here.

I love a good reply to all that includes a company-wide email address situation!

This happens at my workplace (VLU [very large university]) all the time. Worst offenders are my fellow faculty members. Credentials supposedly indicative of 'intelligence' do not signify a low incidence of dumbassery.

Now I have to go to Culver's for cheese curds. Darn, you guys.

Just checked on Culver's website and a small helping of cheese curds is 510 calories.

Small fries is only 240.

Ok LAJ and gnome, I'm going to do the race on Sat instead of the scouting ride on the state course. I think I need a mental reset.

Unless it rains. Then I will go scouting.

I imagine ya'll were on tenterhooks about this, now you can rest easy. ;)

My company has a whole bunch of antennae just up the road from there on the plateau. It's like a mile away.

This indicates "Do Eeeet", or no?

Well done, and good choice, Heathpack. This is such a mental sport, and resets are a good thing.

Born on the same day as email itself.

Be sure to ride there on your trike.

One less thing for us to worry about. :)

One the bike shop's customers rode her bike/trike in Grand Junction, CO last week. She's the one wearing the Stars and Stripes jersey. :)

I suppose 'eeet' would be more likely to be a race than a scout. So yes, I guess I'm doing 'eeet'.

Unless it rains.

Left for lunch, came back to ~300 more emails. IT even had to send something company-wide telling people to stop responding because one of the addresses is all employees, yet a few dozen people continue to reply.

I remember my first internet.

LOL someone replied to the entire chain and said , "This was sent to 15,600 people".

Thanks for the info, but why did you reply? Oh god it continues. Reading these replies has officially made this the most entertaining day at this job.

"Not sure why I'm getting this.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

(signature in comic sans)"

I'm really enjoying this.

I also learned that the majority of people who can't figure out why reply all is a bad idea also can't write a sentence without at least 1 grammatical/spelling error. Correlation?

Dan333SP 05-02-17 11:53 AM

"These are going to the entire department, not sure what's going on"

(hits reply all, continues the chain)

The new, attractive and slightly unhinged-looking barista at the coffee shop was making eyes at me. I say that she's slightly unhinged-looking mostly because she was making eyes at me.

Maybe she has 2 lazy eyes, don't be so quick to judge.

Also, not sure why I'm getting this post. Please remove me. Thx

Should reply (all) saying you didn't get the email and asking how come you didn't but everyone else did.
