Except the 55+ box. That one serves a valuable purpose.

Yaaay! And in my experience, a 60+ box would be a better place to make the cut-off.

Good ride today. Cool and windy which were fine with me. Started with 10 riders but two self-dropped after an hour. The rest of us mostly stayed together, the racer boys did push the pace a smidge. All good.

Did I miss anything while I was away?

One of today's riders said his wife is just getting into road cycling. He said she can't understand why saddles don't have more padding in them. I thought of referring her to the 41, but I bit my tongue.

Well that escalated.... about exactly as history would have predicted.

I'm still scratching my head over the decision to relate a tale of fearfulness in an attempt to demonstrate "machismo." :foo:

FYI not riding a bike and posting in this thread are not mutually exclusive. Just ask RJones.

Low blow.

Oh datlas if you have any interest I'm probably going to be in Malvern for Memorial Day weekend with my bike. Was planning on doing the usual loop through Valley Forge and onto the SRT, but I'd be interested in scoping some new areas if you are going to be around.

I should be around so PM me when it gets closer. If time and weather good I can take you for a ride, so to speak.

I was going to make a snarky comment on Strava and then I remembered that the people that it would be directed at would be the audience. :o

I am now caught up with the SotIC.

Alonso did pretty good, for a rookie. Gonna need time in traffic and in a trimmed out car that's barely controllable to tell if he'll be a contender, though.

Montoya is going to be driving this year pissed as hell, too, which is always fun to watch. I don't know if Chevy is going to be that competitive, though.

I'll start a thread with a poll: "Should I ride with Datlas?"

I like the Paketa too, but I wish it didn't have a compact geometry frame. Would prefer a flat top tube.

So would I. I asked JP to make it as stiff as he could and this is what he came up with, choice of tubes included. Bike was made in 2009.

You should, then give me the look and drope the hamer, naturally.

PS you could be only the second BFer to see the Saturn.

I was looking through my first photobucket photos, which must of been around the time I joined BF. A long time coveting.

On the road just now I had to dodge a minefield of glass shards from a fresh crash.

These motorists should think about the danger of bicycle tire punctures before they have their dumb wrecks on the roadway.

Ah christ. That's exactly the same "colorway" (hate that term) of the one I fell in love with a few years back.

Never realized that it has lugs. Huh.

Someone here needs to buy one. Time ownership left with Scarbo.
