Kudos! I do always chuckle when people leave their helmets on in the cafe. It's the first thing I want to remove when I get off the bike.

NHRA or cycling related t-shirts here.
Nothing says green like advertising for some sport that implements a 500 cubic inch powerplant that burns more fuel than a 747 engine. |

Nice. Yeah, sometimes I think that it might be a good idea to fly the flag a little more just see what happens, but I don't have much cycling-related apparel that's appropriate off the bike. Something I shall have to remedy, I guess.
Speaking of band, there's a trumpet player who occasionally directs who must have like five different Three Stooges T's that he wears to practice. It's a bit odd. |

In other words, I aim for a relatively civilized pace. One of the other guys (who is actually a strong rider but does not want to push the pace) gets annoyed when no "slow" riders show up and the pace is arguably a bit on the fast side.
There may end up being a schism, but what's the point of breaking a group ride into two when there are only ten riders?? We've yet to come up with a solution. :( |

They claim that since it was on a patio, they were "still outside" and didn't need to take the helmets off. Seems to be the makings of a good thread with a poll question regarding when to remove a helmet. |

Stallion urine, however, smells of fine pipe tobacco.

Speaking of sailing, some friends of ours just completed a 4043 nm passage in their sailboat- same type of boat we have but two sizes up.
Panama to Fatu Hivu in French Polynesia. Took them 25 days to make the passage. Always nice when someone makes to jump to see them stick the landing! I now have no boats, job is fine and we like where we are at... also sailing seemed to lose a lot of its appeal without the heavy consumption of alcohol. So it goes. https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0...04&oe=59B96DFB |

Billy is hammering me. Again. He's sort of had it out for me from the beginning for some curious reason. And, I just don't want to deal with another of his strange PMs (he thought I would be embarrassed if he had scolded me in public! Not!).
OK. You can pull the plug on me anytime you see fit, Bigdog. Ciao! I got riding to do. |

Caterpillar Tractor forced early retirement on a lot of people in the 55+ age group and they are now showing up wanting to push hard. Some of our veteran guys are a very fit 70+ but aren't going to keep up when a 55er tries to blow the group apart.

That makes sense. A male friend of mine recently posted photos of a coffee stop and 2 out of 3 of them (all guys) were wearing helmets.

Thanks! Not sure I like the all-orange livery they chose. The current black/orange look on the F1 car is nicer, IMO.
Right now alonso is going through some certification program. He's has to keep it in speed ranges. He's like 30mph off of quali pace right now. |

That's McLaren's color that they're kind of known for. IIRC rookies at the 500 have to wear special stickers on the back indicating they're noobs on race day. That'll be interesting. I wonder how much condescending advice Rossi is giving Alonso

He got some seriously condescending advice from PT and Townsend during the broadcast from Barber, i was laughing pretty hard while watching. I know it was well-intentioned, but come on. This is probably one of the greatest drivers of all time getting advice from Fat Paul. |

Yea, it is "their" thing, it just looks awkward on that Indy chassis. It's already a fiddly car with the pontoon things they run to protect the rear wheels, but making it nothing but orange exaggerates that.
