I think that really depends on how you look at it. I think that it's come a considerable way. Is there an abundance of crap? Absolutely. But at the same time, the availability of good stuff has skyrocketed in the last 10 years. Saying that the coffee scene is bad because of the horrible stuff is like saying that the beer scene is bad because you can still buy Bud Light. When I say that the coffee at that garden center is so-so, realize that this coming from a guy that has a coffee grinder with a higher FTP than your average roadie, so I have high-ish standards.

Hey datlas, not sure if your Spain trip plans are flexible but I was watching a show on San Sebastián last night. It's in Basque country but looks absolutely spectacular, if I were going back to Spain I'd put that place at the top of the list.

I am familiar with the place and I have heard great things. If we get bored we may take a side trip, but I am thinking most likely we are staying in Catalonia.

One of my patients just came back from Italy and brought me a souvenir. A 100th edition Giro d'Italia jersey. Mostly black with pink highlights.

I believe medical ethics rules require that you refuse the gift and send it to me instead.

And of course you want to give it to me.

Thanks for the helpful reminder Gomerkins.

Me and Mrs. rjones28 aren't quite old enough for those, but the kids at the local Cineplex occasionally charge us the senior ticket price. We do not argue.

Well said.

Every country does it differently. If a cup of Turkish coffee were set in front of me again, I would refuse, because I really didn't enjoy it that much. Is their whole coffee industry in the toilet because I think what's in that cup is pure unadulterated ****? I think not.

Heck, I sometimes have a cup of tea with milk and sugar in it, because that's how we drank it in the olde country. How dare we.

Pretty much - from about 5pm through 9ish, it's all meal prep, dinner, a little family time and getting the kids to bed.

But what about Velo Vol time?

I will solve this. The jersey stays here. Everyone happy?

Heathpack 05-09-17 08:01 AM

So I texted coach yesterday and told him the tire saga along with "hey, can you bring those tires down this weekend when you come after all?"

He texts back, "No problem. You also want me to bring you a case of wine?"

Yes.

Haha so now yall know why I pay him the big bucks. ;)

seedsbelize 05-09-17 08:01 AM

Take anything I say today with a grain of salt, or less. I've been up and moving about for four hours now, and have yet to wake up. Tomorrow will be better I'm sure. And now I think I'll have a Bud Lite Lime.

It has pink on it. Are you sure you're comfortable riding with pink highlights? Food for thought.

King Solomon would have suggested cutting the jersey in two.

Make sure you don't get a ticket.

You could offer to cut it in half.

Froomey got rammed because he was going too slow-

Chris Froome: Team Sky rider 'rammed on purpose' by car in France - BBC Sport

Apparently getting the jerk treatment by motorists is not unique to the US, or to amateurs.
