Also, I hate to say it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that this isn't the last angry update we're going to get on this transaction. How much do you trust now that these guys are the only ones who actually have the tires in question in stock? Seems interesting such a crappy outfit has a stock of things nobody else can get a hold of...

Worst case scenario, coach will give me his and I'll just send him mine when I get them. He (coach) will be down in LA this coming weekend, so I'll be seeing him anyway,

All you have to do is not burn the place down. ;)

You could go any of the days out of that week, you don't have to go all 7 days.

Its one of those things that someone will grab quick, so no telling if its even still available.

Thank you for thinking of us, Heathpack. I knew Mrs. LAJ had some time off around there, and she does. Just before, and no way to swap it as it's too close to right now to change. Thank you anyway, and again, thank you for thinking of us.

So Oustide Outfitters, the place I had the Seinfeldesque exchange about the term ORDER FULLFILMENT?

Tires still haven't shipped.

To refresh your memory:
I ordered last Tuesday and paid for 2 day expedited shipping.
Website says ORDER FULFILLMENT 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS
Turns out ORDER FULFILLMENT refers to them getting their order from their warehouse, not when I get my order from them
So tires should have shipped on Fri and I should have them today or tomorrow
No email that they've shipped, so I called
They won't even get em from their warehouse until tomorrow.
THEN they'll ship them
MAYBE I'll get them Friday, which would be an ORDER FULFILLMENT time of 9 business days, total time 11 days.
Or maybe I'll get them a week from today, which is an ORDER FULFILLMENT time of 10 business day, or 13 real days.

:mad::mad::mad:

Nashbar pulls the same crap. I can get free shipping, but opt for the $5.00 charge, so it doesn't go that weird FedEx/USPS mule train from their place that the no charge gets you. Then, there's no notice of it shipping for a couple days, then a label generated, and it might ship the next day, if your lucky.

So apparently there's a "bike camp" thing in my area where coaches teach people the basics of pack racing, and completing their tests gives you an automatic upgrade to Cat 4, even without ever starting a race.

This is the result. Watch the guy to the left of camera at about 8:08-

I was in this field and knew from the start he was sketchy, so I stayed high and outside the main pack for the whole race. He apparently brushes my teammate's rear wheel briefly and then just flops down without much apparent attempt to correct. He took another 10 riders down with him, including another teammate of mine who injured his knee.

That is why there's no replacement for pack time, and why I think people shouldn't be allowed to insta-upgrade.

^^^ man, I still can't even see the drone in that one.

Drone was attached to teammate's rear wheel.

Watching that again, I forgot that the guy who ended up winning went down in that crash, took a lap, and spent the rest of the race stuck in his smallest cog (I think 52/11) because of a broken shifter or der. You can see him occasionally in the video pedaling at an awkwardly slow cadence.

Dude is strong.

Are you on the Phase cycling team? I was out there when they first formed. From what I have seen on my FB feed they are making progress.

Naw, I think the video came from a guy on that team. I ride for a shop team local to Richmond, we're the nearly all-black kits dotted around the field. I poke my head into the video a few times but generally spent that race tailgunning and staying safe.

Dan333SP 05-08-17 02:36 PM

Some guy on our local FB bike sales group posted one of these just now.

http://www.strangevehicles.com/image...ent/130709.jpg

Post is titled, "Why the **** do I own this??" and lists a sale price of $100,000. Seems legit.

I wonder about the lateral balance on those things. Like from the stem height it looks like one side is for danny devito, and the other ahnold. But I gotta think ahnold weighs so much more it would just fall over.

Sitting in the office's Steelcase Gesture.. def not big enough for my arse. Looks like a one size fits all butts except for mine.

I just N+1'd all over the place. New strider bike for the 4yo.

Why hasn't anyone suggested clip-on aerobars for the stroller? Marginal gains.

When my wife broke her pelvis and ribs and collar bone last August, she had aero bars on her walker.

Loosen the bearings a little so the axle is loose and then they'll whoosh. :thumb:

This is unlikely to happen in a bicycle transaction, but jeez.

According to Scarbo, it happens all the time.

Starting him late are we? ;)

I started our son on a strider bike as soon as he could standover one. Just before his third birthday.

Repaving season is in full gear. The grooving machine hit another road I frequent and I saw them grooving yet another one earlier today. It's gobbling up pavement like Addictionites loading down at the buffet line.

HER has a regular bike already. She just doesn't like to pedal, and always steals other kid's strider bikes. So now she gets her own, for the sake of all the other kids in the neighborhood.

Losing a little weight + riding a lot recently + fantastic weather = a ride where you just can't stop smiling and feel like you're dancing on the pedals. Good times.

How many smiles per mile are we talking about here?

Continuous smile. How would I score that?
