On the GOOD health news front, my wife's liver biopsy came back negative for cancer. Haven't seen the report yet so can't say what the lesions on her liver are for sure but they aren't cancerous. :thumb:
Now, the radiation doctor is moving forward quickly to get her radiation for breast cancer scheduled. It had been put on hold awaiting the liver biopsy. Wife is a different person tonight, joking and smiling. :) |

The Tuesday night hammer ride is all fun and games until the budding pro kid I bought the Schwinn from pays a visit.

Ha - did he show up in jorts and drope the hamer?
He did change the ride for me. Me and one other guy chased him down at the end of the first lap (ride is 4 laps around a quiet neighborhood), we kept pedaling and when his pull came it got ugly and things blew to pieces... my ride plan went from get an aggressive workout to practice hiding. The good news was he pulled most of the way home at a nice rapid rate as some storms were starting to roll in. |

Well that's a way to start off on the right foot. So, this - how did you put it? - "incestuous conclave" has a forgiving nature, so let's just chill, yeah?
What a day . . . Touched a sensitive nerve, did I? Methinks so. Anyway, not that anyone's counting; but going on 18 posts today? What are you--one of those stay-at-home dads or something? |

Oh. California has disadvantages? That's news to me. |

Move to Texas. Nothing bothers trying to grow between June and September.
I spent almost two years working in Texas--Dallas area. Little story; true, of course, as all my stories are. When I first moved there I went to open up an account at a local, Dallas bank. Well, the lady who helped me, and I, started idling chatting about this and that; she got around to asking me where I'd come from; I told her, California and that I was on an assignment to work in Dallas for a couple of years. She rejoined with the typical, "well, it took you all your life to get here, but now you are here." Then, she proceeded to tell me about her big trip to San Francisco and how she'd gone to visit the famous Golden Gate bridge. She didn't think much of it, apparently. She suggested I go visit the bridge that spanned Dallas and Rockwall, across Lake Ray Hubbard. Now, THAT, was a bridge in her estimation. Uh, huh. Now, I'm sure that there are members of this forum who are well acquainted with those environs. How anybody in their right mind could begin to conflate the two sets of experiences remains beyond my comprehension. I knew, then, that I had crossed over into the Twilight Zone. Hence my saying about Texas: never have so many been so inordinately proud of so little. |

I seem to be much more affected by minor temperature changes than I used to be. |
