I dunno that you should be throwing down the gauntlet in this context. NTTAWWT.
This meme's meaning had been haunting me. |

Don't forget to remove your gloves.

I didn't wear gloves when I was an active line tech because they were a pita. Hot, ripping all the time, plus I had to buy my own. Now, I have them near me at all times, and use them a lot. I still buy my own, but since that's the only tool I have to buy, I can live with it.

The only time I wear gloves is if I'm disassembling the drivetrain (pulling a cassette for cleaning, changing jockey wheels, replacing a chainring, etc). For normal stuff like changing cables or replacing a tube, no need.
That can get messy. |

They are "nitrile" not "nitrite". I only mention it because you can smell the residual acrylonitrile monomer in the rubber. It is very carcinogenic.:eek::eek:
I have it on good authority the residual monomer levels are way below any toxicity/carcinogenicity threshold, but damn that odor gives me the creeps. Especially when the dental hygienist sticks her hand in my mouth and the smell is right there inside of me. I used to work in am acrylonitrile manufacturing plant so I am really wary of **** like that. Or is it "weary". After a few years on BF, I have trouble remembering. ;) Werd. |

With the big political news from yesterday, I checked into P&R to see if the dumpster fire was alive and well. Can confirm- lots of new trash going up in flames.

It's Mothers' Day here in Mexico. The person who introduced it from the US had a good heart, but didn't fully understand the concept. Cross-cultural mistakes.

Well, there's the annoying misspelling of "word", which is what I figured you were going for. I was just reminding everyone that rpen is weird :thumb:

So, after learning that the Salsa Cutthroat is $4k-ish, I just ordered some 30mm knobbies to put on the Allez instead. Kenda Kwicks. Also put a mountain double 42/30 on front.
Has anyone else CX-ified a pure road bike? What else should I swap? Is the carbon fork ok? This is the trail I'll be on... ruts and rocks. |

Can you fit 30mm tires on an Allez??
The kendas are 30mm. There's a good chance they'll fit. Brakes are Dura Ace. |

I'll never forget, this doctor I know once told me that if women were acutely aware of how many things can go wrong in child birth nobody would have a child. My response was "Um ... that would mean the end of mankind, wouldn't it?" |
