Yes. She's a meat and potatoes girl. She's going to see some Irish author speak at the Free Library this evening so we have to stay in the Logan Circle area. Maybe Kite & Key.

Went to El Vez for lunch last Friday during our department retreat and stuffed myself silly. The person who arranged the menu ordered way too much. I felt it was my duty to not let so much food go to waste.

Kudos. El Vez has fantastic guacamole, and the rest of the menu is decent too.

Is that fancy schmancy restaurant still there

Neighborhood Services. In Dallas? Yes. $24 for a trout dish. What?

I am way beyond the point of needing luck, but thanks anyway.

So apparently this was discussed at a time when I wasn't around as much. But, in that case, enjoy!

Ankle sprain is official. I got a brace, crutches, and a prescription from the hospital.

Minnesota duathlon is 11 weeks out and the MN major is 12.

datlas 05-17-17 03:27 PM

Mrs datlas requested Indian carryout for dinner. My favorite!

Ouch. I hope you heal up ok. Will likely take a month or so.

Seriously. Some things are important and some aren't. Arguing on the net is not.

Thanks. It's definitely taking the wind out of my sails as far as training goes.

Is too.

Otherwise how can I maintain superior self-esteem?

Aw, that's not right. Sorry... :(

Do you Philly guys know the White Dog Cafe near U. Penn. When I traveled there on business, it was a favorite of mine.

I'm a little introspective today. Saw my oncologist this AM and my urologist after that who confirmed that my prostate cancer is here to stay despite a radical prostatectomy in 2003 and radiation in 2009. Only management from here on out.

Now, I'm at the hospital waiting on my wife to be released after having a liver biopsy.

Been a long day.

Maybe he should have rephrased it "get lucky!"...

Sorry to read this. Ride the crap out of your bikes!

I had my patient anesthetized and prepped for surgery.

Then a big BOOM and we lost power. It came back but with flickering lights and an odor reminiscent of electrical fire.

Fire department came, no signs of fire. Electrician came, says we have three lines of power coming into the building normally but only one right now. The problem is external to our building, call LA Dept of Power & Water. Also turn off everything non-essential, the power load is too high for our current power supply.

Obviously no surgery for my dog today.

Sitting here under a sky light noodling around on my phone. I'm gonna give up and go home at some point.

Sheesh. Just finish out this week and then work next week. Then I'll be off for 2 weeks. Ten days of mountain biking & sailing and 4 days at a conference. Can't wait. I need a break!

Sorry to hear this.

Doc says hopefully, or morbidly, something else will get me first. It's the management part that will be hard to take. Hormone treatments are medieval.

In my wife's case, we're still hopeful.

I just read a piece about Tom Brady's guy. He can get you fixed up in time.
