Great photo, and thanks -- she is doing well these days:)
I'm dreading my own (second) impending liver biopsy, both the procedure and waiting for results, but wth ... I figure so many have been through so much worse, e.g. Mrs B and the two of you, that I'd best just HTFU about it:D Don't want to sound like I belong in 50+ ... oh wait, I am 50 (well, 65)+! |

No need. You're on a roll for the rest of your life. Pro tip. It doesn't hurt to have a lucky shirt(in my case) til your subconcious gets the hang of it.

Talking to coach about ideas for aero testing, he mentions he's testing shoes.
"Oh really? Some shoes are faster than others even when covered by shoe covers?" inquires I. "Yes," he says, "sometimes." Hmmm I have over 20,000 miles on my current shoes, will need new ones at some point anyway. I suppose I could just get some fast ones now. What's faster? Laces are generally faster. Goggle goggle google and voila! http://i771.photobucket.com/albums/x...F420935681.jpg Lime green and black. Just like the TT bike. Of course they're covered anyway when I'm in full race regalia, so does it really matter? No. It does however appeal to my sense of aesthetics. :) |

You should also check the Specialized ones. They come with a small sleeve to cover the laces and everything. They claim they are the fastest shoes, but then of course they do.

Ordered; just waiting for them to arrive. These are two-bolt ones; I use SPD.
Oh, and they do match my bike. |

A one of a kind mix of Zombie Green and Gloss White Cerakote. |
I love Empires. I wish they fit my feet.

What sort of time gain are we talking? I assume it can't be enough for tri geeks to consider tying and then putting on shoe covers, even for an Ironman, considering they then have to come off at the other end. |

Makes sense... buckles are bulky enough to create bumps even under the shoe covers; laces are flat and successfully smoothed over. As long, I assume, as you adequately tuck and flatten the tails after tying.

You just need to grab the url from the right place. On Flickr, you can do one of two things:
Option A, if you don't mind a link back to your Flickr account: select your picture and look for the 'share' icon in the lower right - it looks like a 'forward' arrow that you'd see in many email apps/programs. Clicking the share icon will bring up a new window where you can select the type of code (in this case, you'd want BB code) and the size/resolution of the photo that you'd like to embed (usually one of the 'Large' choices). The BB code will be highlighted, so just right-click, copy and then paste in the reply box here. Option B, if you don't want to leave a track back to your Flickr account: instead of selecting the 'share' icon, click the 'download' icon right next to it and select 'view all sizes.' This will take you to another page where you'll be able to select the size of the photo at the top of the page. Once the image re-loads, right-click the photo and select 'copy image location' from the menu. Come back here, click on the 'image' icon (that looks like a mountain and cloud, or whatever) and paste the copied url in the pop-up box. Since the thread needs more baby pics, and by way of example, this was embedded with Option B - https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4251/3...47c1f73e_b.jpg If you were to use Option A, both the name of the photo and your user name would appear below the photo and all three elements (photo, photo name, and user name) would link back to your Flickr account. |
