Welp, so much for that - long ride aborted. Didn't feel horrible, but certainly didn't feel like I had 4+ hours in me. Tomorrow... tomorrow (if the baby lets me rest).

On a positive note, the drivetrain was awesomely smooth and silent! :love: All of the deep-cleaning and re-lubing yesterday has it sounding better than... well, better than it's sounded since the snow started to fly in the winter.

From what I recall of your account of Mrs. Trsnrtr's situation, sounds like she had much the same surgery as Mrs. Badger, and is about to undergo the same follow-up: radiation but no chemo? If it's any help, Mrs. Badger found the radiation unpleasant, of course, but not at all unbearable with the right creams etc. Mrs. B. is four years 'clear' this past March.

I certainly get the anxiety caused by the 'system'. Mrs. B has had two bouts with cancer: '09 (thryoid) and '12-13 (breast cancer). Those were dealt with extremely well, However, in between, in 2011, her appendix went bad. I'll just say that the way that was handled in the ER/hospital almost resulted in her dying, left her with permanent problems, and would most definitely have resulted in a major lawsuit had the incident occurred in the States.

Just got home from another interview. Very positive. My name preceded me. Their CPA recognized my name from the resumes they had him screen. He called me yesterday and then called the interviewer. He said if they don't hire me he had me in mind for another company.

Another CPA they and I have worked with in the past heard I wad interviewing from the original CPA and he called them this morning before my interview and gave a glowing referral of me.

I think there may be an offer from them in the next 24 hours and it will be in line with whay I've been earning.

I have another interview at 1 today, too.

You just need to grab the url from the right place. On Flickr, you can do one of two things:

Option A, if you don't mind a link back to your Flickr account: select your picture and look for the 'share' icon in the lower right - it looks like a 'forward' arrow that you'd see in many email apps/programs. Clicking the share icon will bring up a new window where you can select the type of code (in this case, you'd want BB code) and the size/resolution of the photo that you'd like to embed (usually one of the 'Large' choices). The BB code will be highlighted, so just right-click, copy and then paste in the reply box here.

Option B, if you don't want to leave a track back to your Flickr account: instead of selecting the 'share' icon, click the 'download' icon right next to it and select 'view all sizes.' This will take you to another page where you'll be able to select the size of the photo at the top of the page. Once the image re-loads, right-click the photo and select 'copy image location' from the menu. Come back here, click on the 'image' icon (that looks like a mountain and cloud, or whatever) and paste the copied url in the pop-up box.

Since the thread needs more baby pics, and by way of example, this was embedded with Option B -

If you were to use Option A, both the name of the photo and your user name would appear below the photo and all three elements (photo, photo name, and user name) would link back to your Flickr account.

Or just use Option A and trim all the extra links off. My approach. :)

She's getting the Canadian Protocol of 16 treatments. Her breast cancer was the best to get, if that's possible, with everything going along as expected with minimal life disruption. It was the liver scans and biopsy that were nerve-wracking.

Yeah, you can do that too, but I find the mouse work/trimming more fussy than the extra click or two.

Yep. My own radiation in 2009 caused delayed lethargy and tiredness about a month afterwards. Both my radiation oncologist and hers both said that everyone reacts differently. She's an inveterate roadie but she does own a decent trike. I told her we might have to do some easy trike riding if the radiation causes fatigue.

Glad your wife is doing better.

I like that helmet. Tried to get one on sale but waited too long and they sold out in my size.

Also, whenever I'm in town you have to let me ride one of those trikes! Reallt curious about it.

I actually got away with and am still riding my $600 alloy synapse from craigslist LOL. But man that BMC was somethin' sexy. Bike shops should all host club rides.. because everyone ends up staring at the latest and greatest being ridden next to 'em. :lol:

I just need a 1/3rd off MSRP and we're golden. Ho Ho Ho.

I actually saw that article floating around here. Older magazine, older article too. Someone did the same thing with taking a wal-mart mountain bike down a legitimate downhill challenge on youtube. Pretty funny.

Another one where they beat up a bike at a skatepark.

I bought that helmet after hers was destroyed in our infamous tandem crash. It's the women's version of their S-works that sold for $225 in the Spring but was like less than a $100 in the Fall. Is now $56 on their site.

We can setup a spin on a trike. :thumb:

I'm dreading my own (second) impending liver biopsy, both the procedure and waiting for results, but wth ... I figure so many have been through so much worse, e.g. Mrs B and the two of you, that I'd best just HTFU about it:D Don't want to sound like I belong in 50+ ... oh wait, I am 50 (well, 65)+!

Holy moly my job some times.
