My ankle is all kinds of blue and purple now.

Yes, but apparently some folks have keys to all the compartments.

His work isn't exactly obscure - #1 album, plenty of hit singles, some Emmys, and the band he's most associated with was one of the pillars of a grunge (which was a good part of the soundtrack of the 90s). Hell, Johnny Cash covered a Soundgarden song. I understand that grunge isn't everyone's thing, but they were so successful, even in the mainstream, that it would be hard not to recognize some of their songs (unless you didn't turn on a radio or MTV for the better part of a decade).

Edit: huh, was just going to link to the vids, but evidently BF wants to embed.

The lump is gone. Still swollen of course, but not like it was.

And, we're testing against a lone satellite in the sky with compatible tx parameters that's on it's last legs. If we don't get the test done before the satellite croaks we're in for a whole load of trouble come launch time on the next series.

Recruit Rowan and gnome to lay hands on that hut. You would be a cost saving hero.

NZ is 3200 miles away from this hut...

I just don't pay attention. My bad.

Good lord, I'm heading to the doctor in a bit for what may be either gout or a toe infection, and it sounds like I'm the healthiest person around...

I currently have a headache just bad enough to have swallowed a couple of aspirin, so I think I've got you beat.

My guess is paronychia, but go by what the doctor who sees you in person says. I hope it's better.

p.s. No, I am the healthiest person around!

Though this may be true, I bet it's still closer than the guy your company is going to send. I know Rowan did major engine work on an overhead cam V-6, so this hut nonsense should be a walk in the park. gnome sounds pretty sharp too, so between the two of them, and some bush-mechanicin', they will have that bird flying right in no time.

Come on, this is why we have the internets.

Yup. And although I don't like it, I saw a patient last week who was feeling poorly and saw a doctor over the internet, who (without actually examining him) gave him a diagnosis and prescription medicine.

The patient did not get better so he bit the bullet and came in to see me. Last I heard, he is much better.

I feel like a luddite.

I haven't turned on MTV for the better part of three decades.

You know, around the time they stopped playing music videos.

I blame Puck (but this was at the start of the downward spiral and they still fit in quite a bit of music when Soundgarden hit the scene).

I also don't listen to pop/rock stations very often.

Same here. I think I watched it in the 1980's and stopped watching by the early 90's.

We are lucky in Philly to have WXPN which is the University of Pennsylvania radio station. They play an eclectic mix which does include some pop/rock, although more indie and local acts, blues on the weekends, etc... I do listen to them sometimes.
