Thanks for all the well wishes and support, you folks.

The session was very positive. I was pretty well read up in advance, but still, of course, I learned some new stuff. Last week I was leaning toward radiation, then after the readings I was leaning toward surgery, now I'm leaning toward radiation again. But I'll give my surgeon his chance to sway me more, you never know. I'll keep you posted . . . not 50+ style, but when it's significant. :)

Tis true. But if funds are no object and they're looking for volunteers, I wouldn't mind the trip.

Sure I don't know any of that satellite stuff, but I'm a quick learner.

Yep. Negative bloodwork so she didn't want to go to an antibiotic, just the warm water soaking. Blah.

Thanks, Les! I'm confident they will. I should be a PITA around here for a whole bunch longer. :D

Yup. If there is no pus to pop, then warm compresses. I hope you survive.

p.s. not sure why bloodwork was done, but not my bidness...

Yup. And although I don't like it, I saw a patient last week who was feeling poorly and saw a doctor over the internet, who (without actually examining him) gave him a diagnosis and prescription medicine.

The patient did not get better . . .

From a Temptations song I offer these lyrics: "you make your own heaven and hell right here on earth".

Love me some Temptations.

I am on the phone with a Verizon Wireless customer service woman named Stormy.

One time I called Apple and got a guy named Kumar. I almost lost it.

Always wondered how they came to that conclusion. Maybe things were better back then?

Yeah, that song is from the politically charged era of '69. That conversation could get testy in a hurry.

Back then, things were a Ball of Confusion, though many were on Cloud Nine. Of course, Psychedelic Shack was the destination of choice.

Are you saying Ithaca is the Indian word for gorge or that it is gorgeous, i.e. pretty? I knew the latter. We spend time tasting wine in the Finger Lakes area

Ruling out gout, which I suspected based on previous experience.

I don't ride with my spectacles on, so if I see a two wheeled contraption ahead of me, the race is on. Once I get close enough to realize it may be a 10 yer old on a BMX, it's far too late. The rabid frenzy is already unleashed, and when this fireball blows by them, they're lucky to keep the rubber side down.

Good work, Men. I feel your joy.

We were rolling those fat bike tires out on the street, double insult to them I say.

I thought for sure not only was my tire pinched, but my rim destroyed, too. To my surprise all was well. Go 27.5+.

Strangely, the next day I was out with topslop1 on that same ravine and we came across a guy writhing in pain in the creek who'd done the same thing, but on a regular 29er with 2" tires. His rim did appear to be destroyed.

Telling you I feel like I'm driving a monster truck with the plus size 27.5's. It's not the most nimble creature out there... but it'll roll over everything. Definitely the end of world bike tire size.

Are you saying you have never seen a bumper sticker, t-shirt, etc., with the "Ithaca is Gorges" slogan on it? When I was younger, someone on my block had the bumper sticker on their car. I always thought it was the stupidest slogan in the world. Then in 2006 I did the Bon Ton Roulet, which is a week long supported tour in the Finger Lakes region. On the penultimate day we rode through Ithaca, right past the a store filled with "Ithaca is Gorges" souvenirs. I nearly blew a bolt.
