Was anyone talking about attackers? The contest was people saying "oopsie, I hit the gas instead of the brakes", and they thankfully tend to not be driving big rigs. That was what I was intending to stop. Determined attack is much rarer.

If someone, even in an SUV or pickup truck randomly hits the gas in a parking lot, and they manage to miss the main door, they'll go through the wall. Intent doesn't matter. Since doors are small and walls are large, if you just randomly hit some part of the building, it's more likely to not happen on that armored entrance.

Not only the door area would be armored. You string a line of the barriers across the entire front of the building. Minute Maid Park has a string of 4 ft diameter concrete baseballs.

I don't know why those big safety concrete car-stoppers (whatever they're technically called) aren't required in the commercial building code.
Bollards. At least if it is somewhat in the shape of a column. Cost, access and aesthetics would be my guess, those things are pricier than one expects when in multiples. |

Our club has two riders in the Trans Am this year. Both of them gals, and they're in Wyoming as we speak.

Seems like there were floodwaters on US 26 recently, wonder if they encountered any problems.
