We'll see you on Muscle Beach for the 4th of July, then?

Not I. I recently ordered up a pair of these from Merry Olde. They're wonderfully elegant (if you're into Old School) and, for me, comfortable.

Those are really nice. I was considering them (they make or made a two-bolt version) but went with Giro Republics because Dromarti is above both my pay-grade and my abilities:D

That sounds really nice! I did more or less the same thing at a lower level. Bought a 2010 Sirrus Comp (really nice E5 smooth-weld/carbon frameset) and rode it stock for one season. The frame (geometry, fit, quality) worked out really really well for me as a 'flat-bar road bike', so for 2011 I essentially tossed everything, down to/including the crap headset, and re-did it: SRAM Apex/Rival mix, TRP brakes, and a nice set of Giant wheels my LBS had in stock. A shade over 19 lbs w/XT pedals.

Reason? I love the aesthetic/tradition of drop-bar bikes, but I just don't get on well with drop bars (age and specific medical issues). Was actually my physiotherapist (a cyclist/cycling coach herself) who said, after my second failed go at buying/fitting/riding a traditional road bike, 'don't be silly; get something you can ride, not something you think you should be riding.' Good advice.

Female cyclists love to be seen as an ass for you to ogle from behind FYI. Rather than as an athlete worthy of admiration based on her athletic achievement.

merlinextraligh 05-25-17 09:12 AM

Fair point.

Velo Vol 05-25-17 09:21 AM

I would never ogle.

Quick indiscriminate peaks as I get dropped.

Where are you?

You must have been her last patient for the day, she was anxious to go home.

He's also legally owned by my aunt. So he is, in fact, a woman's ass. :roflmao2:
