What?

I mean, pardon?

Well put, Robert. I own two sets of carbon wheels and other than buying carbon-specific brake blocks which do wear out faster than normal brake blocks, performance has been superb.

One set that I purchased from a company in Kentucky called Small Batch Cyclery built my wheels with generic 38 mm carbon rims, Sapim spokes, and White Industries hubs. They've been great.

Yeah, my onlycarbonwheel rims that I was commenting about before do shred the rubber on the brake pads a bit and wear them a little faster than aluminum does. It isn't a problem. I just wipe them off every now and then. Doesn't affect performance.

I have only one thing to say to you: J. S. Bach

Do it now before it's too late. Otherwise you'll wind up with a kid who listens to something along the lines of the Grateful Dead. :D

He likes the more popular Bach pieces. We've got a couple Starker's Solo Cello Concertos on vinyl, a couple Gould's WTCs, he likes the Brandenburg Concertos, etc.

J. S. Bach: The Six Cello Suites

Now, I tell you! There's not a moment to waste!!!!

I played classical piano for 10 years as a child through HS, and 12 years on the only things I can still remember how to play from memory are a couple Chopin nocturnes. Would love to re-learn some pieces from my past.

I am partial to the Beethoven concertos, both the violin and the five piano ones. I find the meshing of solo parts and accompaniment to be superior to any others I have ever heard. And the melodies are just fabulous.

Scarbo 04-12-17 08:06 AM

Not a damned thing wrong with Beethoven.

No, I sort of give it a quick pull and release with whatever tool you use. Like I said, the disc is very springy and the trick is to go just far enough to bend it without making it worse.

I'm not a hater; but I sure do get a huge kick out of impersonating one from time to time. :D

But that's ok, everybody has to suffer some in this thread.

"Haterz" were helpfully defined in that thread I linked to-

There can be more than one Haterz... actually people are natural Haterz. Most people can't do anything for themselves to feel good about themselves, and the only way they can feel good about themselves is to Hate on others. It's typical Human Behavior.

As for using a "Z" instead of an "S" that is because I Anglicized the work to make sure you get the correct pronunciation.

It is....

Hate-terzzzzz (stress the z at the end)

Another form of the word is...

Hate-tehhhhs (with h)

Both are one and the same and describe the same type of people.

Would this work for warped chainrings too? I've never had much success in that line of work. I love truing wheels though.

Sorry, but I was busy deleting the 250 emails that had invaded my inbox in the last few days. Yes, who is correct. That is making a big push to displace it. Only mortality can save us from witnessing the total destruction of the English language. Wait...I think I will opt for witnessing language destruction. Fair trade, right?

Of course you haven't been successful doing that. And neither have I.

Oh yes. I read the thread through to the end this time and I see what you mean.

Speaking of which, do you think the general population fully appreciates the awarding of a Kudos?

I used it in a tweet in conjunction with my Twitter project mentioned above and I wonder if the receiving parties got it?
