Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have two jobs and like them both. No time for random internet usage at the bike shop though.

I saw some dumb people in dumb cars today.

One in a car that's always parked on a hill on my way in. Normally the windows have black towels covering them.

Today, however, I noticed the door opened as I approached.

The guy in the driver's seat was shooting up herion. Lovely.

Then, on the way home, going down a steep dead end, this parked BMW decides to pull a U turn in front of me. Luckily, I anticipated and was already on the brakes.

As I pass, the numskull is smoking a fatty.

Druggies in cars. Watch out.

Normally, they only give notes like that for a max of 90 days but in my case, they would make it renewable as long as it took to sell our house. That's what we plan to do so I don't have to take the money out of investments.
I've heard tales of banks like that. Never encountered one myself though.

It's probably a credit union or little regional bank. Or mr trainsnorter has some dirt on the manager.

I stopped at a gas station. Everything was working fine. When I tried to start the car all the interior electrical stuff was working but nothing happened in the engine.

Fortunately, we were able to momentum start it on a little hill.

Turns out a silly little clutch sensor/switch broke.

A big hassle, but fortunately only out $20 for the car fail.
