In intermittent fasting news... I tried doing 52 miles on Saturday with nothing in my stomach other than a bit of coffee and gatorade. Was over 100 degrees for parts of the ride, so I bonked pretty hard. I am down from a peak of about 194 to 183 lbs in the last month, so that's good. Weight is closer to where it should be, but my anaerobic threshold is too low based on how quickly I got popped yesterday during a group ride when the cat 2 fellas started attacking. Just can't sustain efforts at 95% max HR, especially in the heat.
Start with slow, easy rides.

King says he's waiting for new red hubs to come back from the anodizer. Could be here by the end of the week. But it could be next week. No road biking for me this weekend.

I'm working out with this Stevie Winwood kinda tribute wannabe band on Saturday. I'll only get better on electric guitar if I get into a full band situation, I've only been in acoustic duos. I have gotten to play my electric in front of rooms/crowds once or twice, here's one instance from 2014. Pcad guitar solo starts @ 1:35. Bear in mind I hardly get to play my electric, if I get into a band where it's all I play I'd get better fast.

It was rehabbed 6-7 years ago, I just power-washed and stained it myself last summer, that only took THREE MONTHS. It was like scraping the barnacles off the U.S.S. friggin Enterprise.
I actually got some of the stain on the deck itself too.
That deck is 21 years old now, we replaced the surface planks on 1/3 of it last year, we'll do the other parts in phases over the next few years.
We've always stained it so it will probably last another 20 years after we re-plank the whole thing. The structural lumber underneath gets less wear and tear, and some
of it was replaced 6-7 years ago. Massive deck.

That works if you're a hot guitar player, if you're me you try not to draw too much attention to yourself and play incognito.

In case you've failed to notice, most here engage in light-hearted banter from time to time.

I always assumed it was very painful. That darn Prince used to make it look so easy, though.

You can dispense with the blase/droll Velo Vol schtick, everybody knows you pine for the days when Pcad was here busting you on every VV post.
