Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No, strictly tribology. The toluene is my weird old trick to lose belly fat.

Lumberjack experience, Phase I, is complete. No injuries other than my sore back. It’s a little tougher than it looks on YouTube. I did wear full Fred gear including helmet, long fingered cycling gloves, and eye protection. Plus earplugs..

Sounds yummy, but I prefer MEK, it works faster.

Talking on the big white telephone, selling used cars like a Buick, then an Olds. No fun, hopefully you recover quickly.

Working with a chainsaw is a very tiring workout. As is working with a weedeater. Both of them appear to be nothing, really.

Yard work all morning, mostly gathering stone and dry stacking it to raise the boundary wall over which the dogs have been jumping. Another very tiring workout. But I'm gonna htfu and go for a ride nonetheless. The 72 World Voyager has two brand new tires!

Fast facts:
1) I had soup today
2) Rode 30.49 miles
3) The superior quality of my posts has not been evident lately as a direct form of protest against the non-standard thread title
4) As a result of item 2, I am feeling fatigued
5) The awesome shovel is still awesome and safe in an undisclosed location

Besides the ride with Dan, I only had the chance to get out for one other ride in VA. But it was an outdoor ride, it got me out of my in-laws' house and provided me with some much needed alone time. Oh, and I bought my camera, something I've resolved to do much more this year.

Raced today with an hour-record-holder, ironwoman, State crit champ, and three state TT champs. Came in third. Raced well. Good day. Happy.

Also took Puppy Love for an hour walk. Made more peanut butter. Conducted three hours of phone interviews. Currently vegging on the sofa watching Sneaky Pete.
