you better get right with Santa. You don't have a headlight and your riding apparel is substandard. Maybe if you promise to "reduce the obtuse" you'll get something under the tree and in your stocking.

I think I may have seen it this evening? Two little specks right by each other, low on the horizon SWish at 7:00 p.m?
Didn't match the hype, but there are lots of nearby lights in unincorporated Knox County.

48 years ago tomorrow I watched this live with my brothers and Uncle. Hard to believe it's been that long.

I dont want either one paid by the procedure and independent of outcome. You don’t want your doc well motivated to subject you to risky and expensive procedures or to refer you ever deeper into the belly of the clinico-industrial complex.

I’ve been through that with a cardiologist, and don’t support that. But, I want my doctors well compensated so they are motivated to work hard and provide well thought out care that is appropriate. I don’t want a doctor that is part of the “good enough” culture because he is disgruntled with his income.
I know plenty of docs, some of whom are underpaid and feel it. However, I can’t say I have ever encountered one who was part of the “good enough” culture. If nothing else, the plaintiffs’ bar keeps them on their best game.

Other than the one cardiologist whose sole focus seemed to be to scare the crap out of me unnecessarily and run me through a bunch of unnecessary tests, I’ve never met a medical professional who didn’t seem to genuinely care about their patients.
