Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was confused when I moved to Ithaca NY from PA, and encountered "Town" and "Village" and "Hamlet" which I presume are the equivalent of "Township" and "Borough".

Tell you something: Our area, situated in the inner suburbs of DC and part of a very diverse county, is by far the least diverse and whitest place I have ever established domicile.

Last year I bought some 50mm carbons on ebay from a store called, the carbon zone. They were super cheap, $269.00 shipped. They were great at first. The front wheel decided to spread, so much in fact the brake lever would pulse in my hand. It never failed completely but its not safe to ride. I managed 300 miles on them. Im going to replace the rims with tubeless 50 mm at dome point.
you pays yer money and you takes yer chances.

Tomorrow is my birthday. My plan was to ride the full cap trail, wife was okay with the length of time it was probably going to take me. I just got back from driving it, and I don’t think I will be able to do it. Unfortunately there are several areas that are completely submerged underwater. Some sections were ankle deep others were deeper. I think I will try and ride a part of it come back and do the park way loop, I don’t think I’ll do a full century though.

wife gave me my gift early and I was completely surprised.

I get 'em on stitcher. In app ads have been getting more annoying, however. I might go back to RSS.

Indeed it is.

That's pretty far out, did you ride out there?

Looks like Eagletail Ranches on the North side of Baseline.

Interested to see how off my heart rate is from what it should be. Just hope it will connect to my phone through strava.
