I am still waiting for spokes in the correct sizes to show themselves as being available. Poco a poco.
US$5/tube, as opposed to US$25 here. With shipping, I spent three dollars more for the three than I would have spent for the one. Nowadays it's not available at all, here. I had conceded to using tape.

Addiction point to a somewhat nutty personality but I'm not sure which came first. Alex Thomson races a boat called Hugo Boss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4lo...TaHA&index=334

Strange tidings. That package arrived a few minutes ago. From MPLUSL entertainment and more. In Germany. Three tubes of Hutchinson tubular glue. I am quite certain I did not order it from Germany. I ordered from amazon.com.us. Clearly a little research is in order.

Yes, I took the mtb out and tried to climb the hill. Almost got blown over a couple times, turned back and did a few miles in the neighborhood. Should have gone for the pizza ride.

That's the old boat in the "Mast Walk" video. The new boat is even better.

Had some days in the mountains on the road. One descent had a strong tailwind and I found myself over 50 mph in seconds and wondering what would happen if it became a side wind.
New Years Day ride I could hear the sand and gravel rattling against my glasses.
Friend got blown off the bike on a bridge over a gorge. Broke his collarbone.
And of course those times when you have to work hard to go downhill
When motorcycling in the desert over a small jump the wind would change my trajectory while in the air and I would land off the trail. Didn't need to do that too many times to cool it.

Welp, so much for takin' a run at the Festive 500 this year. Rain this morning turned to some ice and then snow as the temp dropped. Still snowing and we're supposed to see these 25mph winds through the evening, at least. Should be in the single digits tomorrow, too. I'm actually looking forward to getting out on the studs again, but there's no way I'll come close to 310 miles on those damn things.

Boats are really radical these days and each new design is more radical than the last. Earlier this past summer, Spindrift, a 130' racing trimaran was in Newport awaiting weather for a trans-Atlantic record attempt. The boat already holds the record at 5 days and some hours. Standing on the dock, looking the boat over, I don't think, even with help, I could get the mainsail up. and even if I did, then what.

On today’s ride, one of my friends said she needs just 200 miles more to get to 5000. I asked if that included Zwift miles, and she said it did.
I tried to explain to her that fake miles don’t count. She did not accept my position. Sad!

Woo hoo - unless things fall apart, I'll have a saaaweeeeet addition to the wood shop this weekend. I found out about this particular jig last week and stumbled across an NOS one on CL, about an hour and a half away and for less than half price. If I get my mitts on it, it'll be a game-changer for me.
