Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not necessarily. I've done lots of bike work in slippers and flip-flops.

Apparently they (ramps) are a thing here; I can see why. Neighbour friends returned to live on/in Mrs. Neighbour's family farmstead a couple of years ago. Their woodlot provides perfect conditions for the things, so we get a year's supply early each spring. They freeze extremely well, and Mrs. Badger knows what to do with 'em -- pastas and so forth.

Everything is tight, So could it just be the bike?
Are the travel couplings tight?

Not sure I would have given that person money, but how much better to fall for the occasional scam than to be so suspicious and hard that you turn down someone truly desperate some day.

Yes. As far as I can tell. It only has one coupling, I am scared to tighten it anymore it may snap, like the first one.

This is a 50 cm frame but not WSD.

The bike is at my son’s house for my dil to ride. I took it out for a ride a few months ago and despite having at least 50,000 miles on it, is in excellent condition and rides like a dream. If it was a 52, I’d take it out for all day rides, no problem.

For sure, I absolutely love the geometry, and the way it rides. I would love to find one in better condition, lightly used.
