Hi Shawie,
Race to the Sun, Paris Nice, Trenti gave a nice side bump to Davis on stage one leadingout Boonen. Byron Picket or Sonny Bill Williams would have been proud of that. Davis was a veritable twinkle toes prima ballerina to make it look like nothing happended and stay upright. Lost about 10 feet I assume in momentum, though you could not tell, and Boonen beat him by one clear length. Davis was coming from 4th wheel and in the wind riding outside the paceline, so the performance might have won him the stage if you swapped places with Boonen and got the leadout. Davis got 2 more seconds for three overall, and DNF'ed second last stage. Nice form builder for San Remo and Melbourne games. Has to go in favorite. Landis won on the back of one stage at Nice, on a downhill finish too. Not overly selective, but he put one minute into the chasers. Good effort. Phonak are racing hard because they need a new sponsor next year, and they are in talks with iShares their secondary sponsor. Phonak just had another drug bust today. Testosterone, a support rider, don't know of him. Landis is looking good, looks to have improved on last season, his tt looks strong and his climbing looks improved. Whether he has much up his sleeve remains to be seen. Evans was pretty anonymous, he will have his eyes on Flech and Liege in one month. Could podium both on his day, and if lucky win. Boonen was imperiouis in the sprints. The last one his chain skipped and he lost a pedal stroke, and sat down, then got the gear in, and kicked it up for the win. Don't now how Davis will beat him in San Remo on that form, though it mnight be a different story after 280 km. Tirreno, Robbie is struggling with his body after the crash. Really struggling. O'Grady out for the spring with a collar bone, must be in doubt for the tour. Remember last year, Roberts was on the tour squad instead of Piil who broke his leg about now, and missed the spring. So Riis will be hesitant in taking O'Grady when he has no build up. Paul Crake the stair climber was on Naturino's roster in Tirreno, fairly anonymous, but might have been doing a bunch of work for Maurilo Fischer, last years not so young wunderkind at Naturino. If Fischer rides like that all season one will cast doubts over how he got his 2005 season results. Bettini went down hard, gotta love, classic1 had a nice line there, I will leave him to add it, but as I said, Cookie Karma Baden Schadenfreude. But no Unibet for Milan San Remo. But doubt Bettini can win, if he does expect a drug positive on coricosteroids (inflammatories) to get the swelling and pain down. Tirreno, Petacchi is not infallible, and Hushovd came over the top of him in a head wind. Petacchi and Zabel got 3 seconds for the race between them. Zabel is from here on known as 2abel. Bettini was in great form, Tirreno parcours was for the rouleurs and punchy climbers, a perfect route for the little smurf. Dekker ended up winning, Dkker jnr that be Thomas, with a smoking tt, second to Fabian Cancellara. Dekker is under Doctor Checchini, Ferrari's brother "sporting doctor". Checchini has among others, Basso, Petacchi, Hamilton, Ullrich and now Dekker. Read into that what you will. So Dekker won his first big GC, which was a little easy, the last climbing stage was neutralised where Jorg Jaksche, he being Cadel's best friend in the peloton, would have lighted up that climb and put Dekker in the hurt, and might have got GC depending on Rabo's defense. Don't think they had any skinny ones to help Dekker tho, he would hav ebeen on his own unless he paid some "Disco" fees. USPS/Disco, notorious getting others to work when their domostiques are in the autobus. ON Jorg Jaksche this is some of the correspondence on Evans' website on the Duetschland tour: Cadel: "Ullrich is dropped, get your man to ride" JJ: "Get ****ed arshole!" obviously some suppressed *****exual tendencies there |

Is it just me or is this whole forum thing as slow as a wet week to load lately!??? Seems to be getting worse every day. :( Is there some secret process I'm not familiar with or is my old puter just struggling??? Maybe the server? (Optus) Very frustrating.

Thanks for the 'season so far' analysis, Thunder. Great work. |
Geez, Veleoduo is obviously not a big fan of Robbie McEwan... :D

He talks through his blurter too.

I love how everyone expects pro cyclists to be moral citizens. You know what? I don't care what a bunch of genetic freaks wih personality disorders think or do. Just entertain me and provide a billboard for sponsors, and preferably STFU and just ride. :D

did we all see the shot of a young Rob Crowe on Cycling Central on Sunday? Crikey!!
|
Nah, missed it. Should be good coverage of the Bendigo Madison. Looked to be at least 5 cameras there.
I need another days recovery after the 5.30am finish on Monday morning :D |
classic1 did you get me Tomalaris' autograph?
I had to reply to the Mcewen dis, I am one of few who has seen the video of the crash. Mcewen gets a bad rap. Just wait til Brownie ever gets a work ethic and hits the big time, the second coming of the Tashkent terrorist. |
No autographs. I had gay sex with him though. He's a dud in the sack too. :p
I said the other day about that crash that they sent a boy to do a mans job. How often do you see turkeys contesting bunch sprints who have no chance of winning, like in the Dauphine the other year when stupid mullet head Brochard and some dwarf Columbian knocked Cooke off the bike. |
yeah, and good line it was too classic1.
Pity about the autograph, can I have the condom though? |
Don't think the wife/gf will appreciate being chased arround the house with a turkey baster full of the contents, thunder.
Did I take this gag too far? :roflmao: Anyone have a downloadable movie of this crash? Love a good crash. |

Can you blokes stop making me laugh so much with your Tomalaris love-in? :)
And nice defence work over in the "classy guy" thread in the RR sub forum too. |
