Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

Ok, ******, you want to be the first to post in that thread? It's still valid, as that addresses the same issues one needs to look at in buying a used bike.

Bikes: Thylacines...only Thylacines.

None of this makes sense. I couldn't even afford to live in Sydney and I'm a reasonably well paid working professional pauper, so where do all these bogans and millitant ******s live?

Anyway, it's just another good reason why Melbourne is by far the best city.

-Cronulla is the closest beach the the western suburbs?
-Train stops right at the beach?
-couldn't be a more WASPy neghbourhood?
-Sydney property values and urban sprawl make it hard for poor neighbourhoods to improve/people to get out?
-if it's hot again this weekend, it's game on again?

Are my facts right?

Take two warring minority groups, add alcohol and mix. Now throw in some right-wing ******s with their own agenda and bring to the boil. Garnish with constabulary for a really firey suburban brawl. Add TV cameras for extra zest.

more than likely. That's his style, and lawsy, and a few other talkback dills. They could take a leaf out of Sam Kekovitch's book I say. Some of Sam's decorum, sensitivity, and racial tolerance would settle things down really quickly.

Well, I can't quite post there as it hasn't failed on me yet. So until my arse goes sliding down the road from that chainstay snapping I better not bag the material. Pretty sad if one chain suck can leave the thing screwed though.

I was actually thinking of getting one of those funny sock kind of things dudes put on the chainstays of their mountainbikes. Is that a bad look on a roadbike? As they say, out of sight, out of mind.

anyone who watches Media Watch probably has a less than favourable view of Alan Jones

I saw Jones interviewd this year, I think on Denton......what a WANKER.

Chopper Reed ocassionally pops up on a Tripple R radio show (The Party Show), and the host usually baits Chopper about Jones coz he knows he hates him. Chopper's reply is usually something like:
"Jones is a fkn poof and he knows he can't fkn sue me coz he knows I know some of his old boyfriends"
