Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well I convinced my brother in law to do the ATB 210km option with me, he did it last year. Route B he reckons is the way to go so I may see some of you Melbournites down there.

Bikes: Wilier, Alchemy, Merida MTB,

Mate of mine rides a 5200 (couple of years old now) & likes it enough to have replaced it with the same after his original one was stolen. He's done the Murray to Moyne ride on it & says it's a nice comfortable ride.

We'll keep an eye out for you amongst the 8000 odd others.... You'll be the one on a bike, is that correct?

I'm looking forward to having a test ride... have to use a bit of tact so close to muvers day though - but I'm on holidays so I have time

Not much interest at the club re: 250k ride. A few mentioned the fact that the detour through Portarlington is gonna take a fair bit more than half an hour so the 210k peeps will hit the ferry around the same time.
We have a bunch doing the 210k Melb-Sorrento-Melb... noone wants to get screwed around at the ferries again.

Bikes: Wilier, Alchemy, Merida MTB,

Get onto a good myotherapist for back fixing massage work. The deep tissue stuff can hurt like hell at the time but I've found it to be really helpful.
