Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need some help here. I downloaded a video clip at;
https://www.thebeachcats.com/videos.html
I get the music and the random graphics but no vid. pics. I've been told to download 'FOURCC code H.264 codec' but I can't seem to find it specifically with a google search. Can some of you puter experts help out pls.

The reason you couldn't find it is that it's not a fourcc codec. There's a vanguard software solutions product but it's not free: https://www.vsofts.com/h264/downloads.html

There does not appear to be a free consumer decoder for H.264 except for one open source project that has to be built under C++

Back on injuries, I drove to hospital to get a cast removed from my arm (dislocated elbow).
The wing felt so good I reckoned I could have straightened my arm and snapped the cast off.

Anyway, they cut it off, I went white and nearly hit the deck, walked outside with my feeble arm in a sling and no idea how I was gonna drive home...LOL.

H.264 can be played by Quicktime. Or try VLC media player it seems to do everything. or download the klite media codec pack if you dont want another player

There's still a couple of formats that just won't play on my Macs, but yeah, H.264 is great in Quicktime.

Doesn't video compression suck though. I wasted so much time trying to find Codecs and trying to play ****ing stupid Windows native files its not even funny

I downloaded that VLC one Gabe & jock were on about from here
Worked like a charm.
Haven't got the new bike yet (next week sometime), just put the old one on eBay last night.
Yeah, I've never sailed so I wouldn't know one from the other.

Yep, that works. Made more sence to me the way you said it I have the DVD. I thought it might be something different. Pretty full-on sport. Great fun. I just fitted a spinnaker to my 14 and I'm planning on sailing tomorrow to sort the thing out. Can't wait.

I think if your not in there as a junior, competing at an international level you don't really have much chance. I finished school in 88 or 89 and went straight to the USA to do sport, I was 16 the first trip overseas. Kept going OS until I was 24 or so, good fun, good way to see the world, just not much future for "pro sport guy that never quite made it", earning enough money to just keep going got boring after a few years.
Did you go over to race BMX?

Hey while we're all choking on coal-fired power station pollutants, lets get all frisky about nuclear power. Wow, I'm excited. Harrisburg, Chernobyl, Nagasaki, Hiroshima.

Will we ever get rid of this totalitarian fuhrer who's only supreme abilities are in the arts of lying and deception? Luckily for us his understudy is worse

not that purchasing nuclear power would have anything to do with providing US coproration millions of aus dollars to build such plants would it

lets face facts in the next few weeks Johnny will do his (in)famous backflip and we will have Nuclear power. I hate but we are stuck with it.

Read in the SMH that the mining industry had a hand in scuttling the wind farm in Vic that was rejected because of the endangered bird.
Face it we are screwed.
