Actually, in the two group rides I've on the road since deciding to get back into it, I've stacked both times!!!!
Firstly was into the back of Hitchy when he decided to stop for a couple of Jap tourists at the stop lights in St.Kilda (I mean really, who actually stops of pedestrians? Loose all streetwise roadie points immediately). Secondly was with some old mates up in the Dandenongs on a loop I'd never done before. We approached a roundabout, I went straight, they turned right.

Landed in the emergency room after that with a nice chainring induced gash in my leg.
Sorry to hear about your stack matagi. Heal fast.

I don't think I want to share the details - it was due to a very stupid error on my part. Let's just say that when one re-assembles one's bike after taking it out of the back of the car, it is very important to connect the brakes before launching down a steep driveway.

But that isn't what I did ....no.. I was doing 60km/hr up Bumble Hill, when this wombat dashed out of nowhere. Yes, that's what happened. No, really, it did.

Some post-lunch / completely OT random fun while I slack off. Here's the top 20 ways to cark-it if you're a while male Seppo -
20 Leading Causes of Death, United States
2003, White, Non-Hispanic, Males
Cause of Death / Number of Deaths
Percentage of All Deaths in all Age Groups:
- All Deaths 956,194 / 100.0%
1 Heart Disease 276,241 / 28.9%
2 Malignant Neoplasms 236,150 / 24.7%
3 Chronic Low. Respiratory Disease 53,593 / 5.6%
4 Unintentional Injury 51,888 / 5.4%
5 Cerebrovascular 48,549 / 5.1%
6 Diabetes Mellitus 25,940 / 2.7%
7 Influenza & Pneumonia 23,541 / 2.5%
8 Suicide 21,085 / 2.2%
9 Alzheimer's Disease 16,427 / 1.7%
10 Nephritis 15,323 / 1.6%
11 Liver Disease 13,254 / 1.4%
12 Septicemia 11,181 / 1.2%
13 Parkinson's Disease 9,303 / 1.0%
14 Aortic Aneurysm 7,731 / 0.8%
15 Pneumonitis 7,454 / 0.8%
16 Benign Neoplasms 5,732 / 0.6%
17 Hypertension 5,673 / 0.6%
18 Atherosclerosis 4,181 / 0.4%
19 Perinatal Period 3,673 / 0.4%
20 Homicide 3,550 / 0.4%
All Others 115,725 / 12.1%
The most interesting stat? You've got a 6 times greater chance of killing youself intentionally than you have of someone else doing it for you.
Does anyone else find this mildly disturbing?

Damn, me bike's on eBay so I've swapped the pedals/wheels etc over to the bog standard stuff <== no riding it. Seems to be a lot of interest in it but FFS, I wish someone would just buy the bloody thing! Does everyone wait fer the last day of auction or summink?
I've got most of the $$ sitting here burning a hole and there's a shiny 5200 waiting at the shoppe.
