Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What has worked the best for me is original Armor All. Lasts longer than anything else I have tried. Gotta be careful walking with that on your cleats, though.

I'm familiar with the 2-2-2-2-2-2-2 . . . dose pack.

I assume the prednisone does help with skin itch, to some extent.

I don't interact with much poison oak, compared to poison ivy.

This is a fun compare and contrast with my 30-mile ride last evening

Morning skateboard jaunt to the coffee shoppe.

1 full Church parking lot.
42-ish coffee shoppe patrons. The line wasn't bad though.
1 EB piggyback train.

There was a whole lot of brand spanking new Transportation Equipment Network trailers on the piggybacks:

I gotta tell y'all about the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom scene that unfolded on my last MTB ride.

I was cruising along in Sandy's Canyon and I hear all these branches cracking and snapping up on the cliff to my left, I follow the sound and flashes of movement through the trees then they emerge - two coyotes falling down the hill while wrasslin. Then the bigger of the two stands up and barks. Then stares at me for a minute as the smaller one scurries off. I decided to scurry off in the opposite direction, occasionally glancing over my shoulder to make sure the big dog wasn't interested in another scuffle with a new opponent.

So I had to look up whether coyotes barked, as I'd only really heard yipping, giggling, and howling out of them.

It’s a cold and rainy day in the NE, nothing like what we left behind. I believe there is a break in the rain. Time to ride!

I’d be safe and warm if I was in LA…

I didn't know they'd be tallied, but I did remember the dead one in the turning lane with its limbs pointing outward. Sad.

Most of the route is wider roads (why I go that way) that you don't usually see squirrels on. I did circle around the neighbourhood where there are more, but wasn't on the lookout for them.

I thought they are shy.

Venus goes bat**** zone 1 when she sees a squirrel. She hates squirrels. Consequently I can't put up any bird feeders outside for all the commotion it causes. Because of that now *I* hate squirrels.

The problem isn't the squirrel.

I'll second that. I used to shoot my bows at a range that is COVERED in poison oak. As soon as I got home, I slathered myself with Tecnu then took a shower and never got a rash.
