Our club has several rides going through Griffith Park. We always start at Cal State Northridge, up the north side of the hills on beat up roads that are closed to cars, down the south slope and up to the Observatory, then down to a Sbux in Hollywood.
After that we climb back up to Mulholland Drive and follow it along the ridge for miles and eventually drop back down the north side into the valley and back home. A really fun ride with some heavy traffic but nothing too sketchy.

Correct. It’s my full name which is doug atlas.
I am one of the several Dougs of Addiction/Affliction.
Can we still say Addiction?

Voltaren ... the 'gel'? My story: I have a bad back (L5/S1 disc buggered) that acts up occasionally. Back in '16 (I think) it seized up horribly, so Mrs. Badger decided to try Voltaren gel on it. Within about 10 minutes I had all the symptoms of a heart attack. Ambulance called; off to ER; tests etc. Nothing 'wrong'. After about 8 hours I was sent home, still a bit wobbly. Took about a day+ for all the symptoms to subside. Had a follow-up with a cardiologist -- all clear. Turns out that somewhere in the fine print is the statement that this is a 'known' but 'extremely rare' reaction. Needless to say, I've never gone near the stuff since.

Just checked and the Feds took their money overnight.

We actually cut out a little early since our circadian rhythm is still on EDT.
Plus I had to get up early. Gonna meet a friend and a friend of big john to ride up Mt Baldy today.

I mail mine in. Make them wait until the last possible minute to get their money. One year, when I used to pay city School Tax, the city didn't try to cash my check for several months. I had closed to account and switched banks when it tried.

When I take naproxen I pair it with esomeparzole, which, I'm told, is supposed to protect the stomach. Take it 30 minutes before a meal.

I still have one. It was actually my dad's, but I ended up with it when he quit riding on the road. I admit that I almost never ride it...I just prefer my Canyon or even my Swiss Cross w/road wheels over it. I'm also not a fan of the triple, which is a shame because it's all Dura Ace.
It now just hangs in the trainer room:

We did ours at the beginning of March, and filed and paid at the time. I was concerned because, with the layoff, I'd gotten a couple lump sums - the severance, the prorated 2025 bonus (that was nice of them) - and I had a bad experience with not enough being withheld, and then getting a surprise. But everything was fine. We came out ahead.

I'm not going to take it anymore. I was trying to get the swelling down so I could wear the aircast boot. Put it on this morning and it's still painful, but not like last week.
